Larson Newman last lap event!

I've seen the Newman pass a number of times over the years for lesser reasons. I don't like that style of racing but I understand Newman's reason for it. I've seen Gordon do it the Jeff Burton to win the Winston Million (winning 3 of 4 Grand Slam races).

Newman's car slid up the track and hit Larson's car, sending it toward the wall. Larson needs to man up for the future.

This wasn't the first nor will be the last time he will get used to like that. If he's going to take every incident in good stride he will be in for a rough ride.

I doubt he'll do it all time. As he said, he knew what was at stake. If push comes to shove and he's in the same spot as Newman, he'll do the same.
He doesn't seem the type to just roll over.

The irony I love is Keselowski or Kyle Busch drive like that, and they are public enemy number one. Newman does it and he was a hero. Double standards kill me.
 
Newman had to get by Larson & it was a chicken**** move bc he couldnt beat him straight up like a man, but he did what he thought was right to get passed him. Its not the kind of checkers or wreckers I like to see.

Youll never see Newman do that move on Ambrose, Harvick, Stewart or Gordon ;)

Someone much smaller & less volatile as him is A-OK.

Wasn't it Jimmy Spencer who said he'd put his mother in the wall going for a win? Newman did what he had to do.
 
Larson is no fool. He knows what the stakes are and if he's ever in a position where the rolls are reversed, Newman will soon know about it.
 
Ok, put on your tin foil hats! Ganassi gets it's engines from Hendricks now and not Childress. If Larson knew before hand or got a secret coded message to keep Newman from passing him there just might be some sort of double secret incentive in it for the Ganassi organization because then Gorgon would be in the final 4.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it,,until I come up with a better theory. LMAO!

I actually saw someone on Twitter (thinking CGR still used Childress motors) say Larson intentionally slowed and crashed for Newman. If that had been the plan, Larson just wouldn't have passed him ten laps earlier!

Good point, but Newman pretty much admitted it was a dirty move in the interview after. Brad K or KyBu would do that and then act like they're gods gift to racing.
