We went to the first two Cup races several years ago. We vowed not to return for a couple reasons. For the inaugural we had great seats. The track took them away for the 2nd race for race sponsors. Both years the traffic into the track was nuts. Year one cars ditched the I-15 lanes in favor of the median and shoulders. It was nuts. Year 2 was so bad NASCAR had to delay the start of the race because so many fans were were stuck on busses miles away.

My question: Anyone been to a LV race lately? Has LV dealt with traffic issues?

I have gone to the fall race annually the past 3 years and the spring race once. We use the entrance/exit parking lot on the backstretch. It is a longer walk to the track but literally zero traffic in or out of the race. I have used the main lot by the interstate before for the Xfinity and Truck races and gotten stuck in traffic so we now use the backstretch entry/exit exclusively.

As for seats we find tickets on Stubhub for $5-$20 per person the night before and then just sit wherever there are no ushers anymore.

The only thing I've disliked about our fan experience at LVMS is the strict outside food/beverage policy (the norm for Vegas), and the ridiculous prices of f/b inside the track. I am surprised you had such a negative time. I think it is worth a shot to try again. The racing is good-great with the Next Gen.
