Legacy to Toyota

I was going to point out that Kyle's two-season stretch is far more disturbing. With respect to Wallace and Jones, neither of them made winning a habit. It's almost like something changed for Kyle...
99% the car....1% no practice. Kyle explained it on Dale Jr. Download (I think) that the lower profile tire screws him. He used to be able to feel the sidewall squish, but there is no sidewall anymore. So, while looking for the squish, he goes spin cycle.....which makes Denny's (and others) ability to adapt pretty astonishing as Kyle is justifiably considered on of the GOATs (when he was with Toyota....kidding...kind of).

If that's Kyle's assessment, I think he's underestimating the effects of no practice. His decline started with COVID, before the new car.
That's my assessment, but your point is well taken. Having said that, sim time has taken the place of practice....I wonder if Kyle has bought in.....Kyle had always been great at driving an imperfect car. Adam has always set a car up for the long run. He counts on driver talent to manage the short run stuff. Kyle was masterful at that. Look at where Bell qualifies....often a bit back, but with good long run speed. Kyle no longer can carry a car...I don't think it has **** to do with age....I think this is about tire.

That's not what the text says...
" It's the longest winless streak of Wallace's career,"
It's what the graphic itself says. Like many people, Daniel Cespedes apparently reads what he wants into a chart without bothering to read the headings or legends.

Very strange and maybe I don't understand new math, but Bubba went 147 races before his first win. Maybe that doesn't count?
I came up with 134 win less races for Wallace. Looks like the second longest for Wallace and Jones.

You should have heard Richard Childress on Wallace's Youtube crying about not making enough money. I had to turn it off. 330 million he is worth.
Richard hasn't realized RCR isn't one of those organizations with competitive Cup teams and an Xfinity stable with a long-term veteran to develop newbies. It's a competitive Xfinity team with a long-term developmental Cup driver and a veteran to help train him.

I think Childress is making a sh*t pot full of money but he is a tightwad at the same time. Doing the same thing Roush did, not paying good money for engineers.

Let's get our heads around this....Spin and No Win signed up for more. It's okay to admit that Coach saw something you didn't.

That describes another legend mentioned in this thread. Even if he is a hero of mine and always will be. Although I don't think he has ever been worth what RC has been from a money standpoint.

To add one more thing I had to laugh when Childress described RCR as a "blue collar team," in 1979 sure, but now? I think that can be said for all the legendary NASCAR teams at one point in their existence except for Penske and Hendrick.
