Hollowed champ?

This has to be the weakest champion in all of racing sport history. No wins, less top 5s than second place guy, less laps led.

Add to that NASCAR did everything to keep Austin afloat with those mysterious cautions and ultimately didn't put the red flag out to get everything sorted out, instead they let the yellow out and laps run out giving Austin a supreme advantage.

Congrats NASCAR, on making it painfully obvious to us the viewers on what you intended to do. :rolleyes:

Oh an yeah, Sam's teammates completely let him down. Way to go.

As I asked in the other thread, if Jeff won a championship another way wouldn't you be fine with it? Also it's hard to win races when the cup guys win 95% of them.

Also, Brad did the right thing by giving 100%

Cmon Reck the kid won the thing straight up. It aint like Sammy won 10 races or something. Sammies teamates really do suck though

Straight up as an NASCAR allowing laps to run down faster than Pastrana's nascar career do you mean?
 
The sad thing is, I doubt this is going to change anything in the Nationwide Series next year.

I don't blame Austin Dillon or the Childress Racing Team, they played by the rules and they got a Champion out of it.

However, I do blame NASCAR for making the ****** rule. I mean what the ****, "Durr hurr, you can only get points in one series, BUT YOU CAN STILL RACE ALL YOU WANT!"

How the **** was that supposed to solve the problem of Cuppers in N-Wide and Trucks!?

So we should give it to Sam just because he has one win? I guess that's all that matters to fans, not the fact Austin did better avg then Sam did.

I dont know Reck, it still could have went either way. It is what it is my friend, all in all an exciting race IMO

That was hilarious. He tried to do the team thing at first but when it was go time, he and Joey were like "**** that!"

There ain't no such things as teammates with the 100% rule, and to be honest, that's how it oughtta be.

How about red flagging the thing? It even got to the point where the broadcasters who are bots controlled by NASCAR themselves start talking about it.
 
To cap off the night I'm going to just say, when NASCAR wants their champion they get their champion no matter what.

I'd be abit worried if I was Jimmie tomorrow.

Austin won fair and square based on the box NASCAR has put the series in. Did Sam deserve it over Austin, no. They ran all the races and Austin earned the most points. The problem I have is the Cup guys and the points. If the Cup guys don't get the points, why do the NNS drivers lose the points when the Cup guys finish in front of them?

Is it a coincidence that everyone watching the race thought the same exact thing? I think not my fellow Gordon fan.
