Let's Get Excited!

Who on here is going to Daytona?

I am leaving tomorrow and plan on having a blast. :partytime :pbjtime: :salute:
I was at the Clash and the dirt speedweeks races at Volusia all last week, flew back here to cold New York yesterday. Have fun. I went last year and it's an experience like no other in NASCAR.

My wife and I are going and hosting customers for the 500. Last year we did this in the suites on the start finish line. This year we are still hosting but I have my rep as their in-suite host while we have other seats in the high grandstands.

Pumped up to see action like we saw early in the Clash. Hope it sustains throughout the 500!

My aunt and uncle (the one that taught me to work on cars and got me into racing ) are having their 50th wedding anniversary party the same time as the race, and then I have to go to their granddaughter's birthday party. The race should be LONG over before I ever see it.

If you have an elderly family member that gets tired easily take them with you.
I drove my Mom to my nieces Sunday wedding, and the strategy got me out of there and home quickly enough to see the finish of the race.

Well, the DVR will do just fine. At least this way, I can selectively edit out any sign of Michael Waltrip, fast forward through Booggity boogity, speed up the red flags, skip the commercials and only watch the post race interviews of the drivers I care about. (assuming ANY of them are still on the track and not in the garage when the race ends.) If Kyle Busch wins, I can just shut it off the second he crosses the finish line. :)
