Let's talk Aaron's 499

How can you not Like Kyle. I am sick of them calling him Wild Thing. Thats pretty gay. Man he screwed Gordon.

Wild Thing is accurate. I don't like Kyle because he goes into Busch and Trucks and wrecks up racecars that don't have half the funding he does.

At least Dale caused his wrecks in top-tier competition.

I think there was a point where NASCAR threatened to pull Dale's license. They need to do the same to "Rowdy."

Hamlin's another one, but he just causes problems on the restrictor plate races.

Your confusing Days of Thunder with reality .

I don't think I am.

I remember an exciting race at Bristol in 1999, the sequel to the Earnhardt-Labonte clash, when Earnhardt wrecked Terry Labonte sparking a massive crash on the last lap. Right after that, fans that hated Earnhardt (he was THE Love him/hate him driver) were pissed beyond reason. I think, right after that race, NASCAR told Earnhardt to settle down or they'd pull his license.

I was at the race you are talking about. I sure was mad at him and he always was my love/hate driver but I don't remember Nascar telling him that. BTW Andy how old were you in 1999?

I also remember the year at Charlotte when Dale and Geoff Bodine had been wrecking each other for awhile and they wrecked each other that day and took out several other cars. Nascar did pull them to Daytona and make them go out to dinner together. They used that in Days of Thunder but made it much worse by having them race to the dinner in rental cars.

I have not seen the wreck on the last lap. But i still say its dumb as hell to end a race under yellow. I miss the old days of racing back to the line. Let the leaders settle the finish and not nascar "give" the win a way. I heard the last few laps on the radio.

Kyle still might have won the race, the Pablo might have, or the 11 could of pulled a Vickers and wrecked em both.

I Like the in car and bumper cams. With the in car cams it kind of shows that you can not see very much. I think everyone should get on the track at least once. Its a lot harder then you think. I can move around more then nascar drivers, have no spotter, or rear view. And its hard as hell to look around. Im just on the war path...sorry :)

I think the leaders should get to race back, I mean that was just like Daytona. Everyone who was going to be in the crash was in the crash and it was behind the leaders.

But, NASCAR knows Montoya would've spun Kyle.

I like that theory. Can't we go to local yellows on these big tracks, like on RC's? If it's the last lap, let the guys that are already through it, race it out.

Well, I don't know. Kyle Busch got real lucky. He'll wreck someone out to win a race ANYDAY. Heck, he'll wreck an underfunded Truck team out for 18th.

That was Montoya's race, and he would've intimidated the crap out of Kyle. I don't know if he would've spun him, but I wouldn't be crying foul if he did. I want to see what Kyle thinks of being deliberately wrecked out for a win.

Earnhardt could at least take it, but I have a feeling Kyle would've cryed foul.

I don't care who does it, I just can't wait see what Kyle does when he gets wrecked, intentionally, for position on the last lap.

Only reason he didn't wreck McMurray at Daytona is because he didn't have the chance - he was ahead the whole time, until they came to the line. I lost all respect for Kyle after his shenanigans at Martinsville. The kid's good, he's real good. But, he needs what's coming to him so he knows how it feels to have a wrecked up racecar instead of sitting in victory lane.

And, yes it sucks for the Gibbs guys. I'd hate to see them repair that piece - but Kyle's made A LOT of people put in A LOT of hours fixing up good racecars and trucks. :idunno:

Kyle, and Kurt, both have NO RESPECT. They're reckless, they're borderline dangerous. But, I'd like to see someone get it into Kyle's head while he's still young.

Did anyone notice that JR didn't win? :)

He's gonna win at Richmond; Harvick 2nd, Hamlin 3rd.

Richmond's a good track for Junyer.

Now, I don't normally bring ear plugs or use them at the races. But, I'll have them this time just in case Jr wins. :)

That place will be LOUD if he does win.

There is no factual basis to what you have stated here.

The scene in the movie you are refering to is the dinner at " Sophie Kays " with Fred Thompson playing Bill France . This was based on an actual event that happened and you are right the protaginists were Dale Earnhardt and Geoff Bodine .

You're one to care about fact? After spouting all the :bsflag: you've spouted about Danica.

Of course Roush spoke to Danica . He spoke to JV and told him to bring 11 million and they could do a Cup deal . Roush spoke to Pete Shepherd and told to bring 2 million and they could do a part time CTS deal . I am sure Jack told Danica to bring X millions and the bikini from the FHM photo spread and they could do a deal too .

Riiiiiiiight, sure.

Look, dude, I have a pretty clear memory of that. I'm sure someone else out there remembers it.

I am not "dude " since i am sure i am at least your fathers age . Your memory is neither clear or pretty and no one that i am aware of has ever had their licence pulled by NASCAR for any reason other then drugs .

Even Glen Dunaway did not have his licence pulled and i dont think anyone P/O Bill France SR more then him . I enjoy discussing things with you Andy but you cant just make things up that .

Edit for correction .

Tim Richmond had his licence pulled under false allagations but thats a whole different story and would deserve its its own thread,

I remember that race very well, I don't remember hearing about NASCAR threatening dale to pull his license and even if they did I'm sure ol' dale would of chuckled at that idea and how would that make any sense when u got tony and kurt banging into each other on pit lane 2 years in a row and all they got is probation.

Ummm.. Kyle screwed Gordon? Now who you calling GAY?!!! Maybe he's WILDER than you think! :growl: I think you better apologize to your hero Kyle and Jeff. ROFLMAO :lol2::lol2::XXROFL:

Geeeze, it's bad enough I had to tell 3 kids to knock it off calling everything gay, but at least they grew out of it.

BP and Buck - You never fail to make me laugh. :D You say things I only think. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:
