Did the search feature but couldnt really find what I was looking for.

Obviously theres not a bad seat in the house but if you could sit anywhere where would you choose? S/F line? Pit exit?

Looking like were gonna pull my buddies camper up there so we'll hit up the truck race Saturday and check out practice Friday.. pretty excited!

S/F is tough to beat anywhere!

We use to sit in turn one, I loved sitting there.

We always spent the night in Greensboro primarily for the Saturday night life.

Middle of 1 and 2, as high as possible. They face pit exit and the sun is at your back. I'd shift into turn 1 or even 4 before I went to the S/F line.

If you're camping, there's a Mexican joint called El Parrel. It used to be fantastic, and the on-line ratings indicate it's still good stuff.

Have a great time!

Anywhere really. Just don't sit all the way up front at the exits of turns 2 and 4. All the dust and rubber particles will accumulate on your body. Wash cloth was black when I cleaned up at home after the race.

As high as you can at the end of the front stretch. You'll have a great view of the tank from this vantage point. S/F line and pit exit are best viewed from this location IMO. A lot happens in the pits at this end of the track to keep you entertained.

Ditto Charlie...middle of turns 1 and 2 is my preference. But for me I prefer to be down lower to really get more of the racing feel. Make sure you grab about 7 hot dogs each day and you won't need to worry about getting your fiber for a while.

I'm on record as regarding M'ville hot dogs as the only thing about NASCAR that's worse than plate racing. :toothbrus

I’d want to sit in the turns, because it seems it would be easier to see more without having to do much turning and moving.

I like sitting high up in the turns! I'm in the top row (27) in turn 4 which provides an awesome view without really having to move my head. The only negatives that I can think of is in my area you can't leave that grandstand (turn 3/4) without having your ticket rescanned. The rest of the stands are all connected so it's easy is to walk about. However, they're they cheapest in the house! If you sit in turns 1/2 the stands are considerably higher and offer some awesome views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance.

Couple other points
- Not sure how all lots are but I had to traverse some "interesting" terrain to get to the area where I ultimately parked. I'm glad I was in rental! Cars with low front ends (like mine) would have run into problems.
- I travel from the North (81 from PA) so Roanoke makes for a perfect place to stay.
- You gotta eat the dogs! I'm not much of hotdog guy but the Martinsville dog is better than just about everyone i've had on the turn....
- I do think there will be an uptick in attendance with the MUCH better May night date. I wouldn't wait too long to grab a good seat!

Martinsville came up in the attendance thread. I posted a pic from my seat....

Thanks for the info guys it helps a lot. Looks like after a few wings and brews we decided we can in fact make the night race this spring lol... We have Talladega this spring also and there's no way we're gonna miss the Bristol night race. I'm excited haha!!

Love Bristol. Should be a little cooler this year, with the September date. We've never had a bad time there. Next year, back to Charlotte. Will miss Bristol, but there is just so much more to do in Charlotte!
