...which is more likely to happen?

1. With #24 in the lead and 2 to go to win the Cup @ Homestead, #88 spins him for the win in his final race.

2. #48 wins the Cup @ Homestead and while be interviewed, announces that he is retiring and that Kenseth will drive the #48 in 2018.

Anyone else have any? :)

#2 is most likely. I don't even think #1 is possible. JR isn't that guy, plus Chase won him an Xfinity title, I think he'd protect the hell out of Chase in that scenario.

24 loses his mind while running second and punts the 11 with two to go.

Ryan Blaney avoids the idiocy, wins the race and goes to Homestead where he wins The Cup.

This stuff is not complicated.
It's all ridiculous but you're right. It's not complicated.

I can see the 11 spinning him. Oh wait, that's already happened.

I hate to be that guy... but if Jr. even had a chance to spin him out, it would be as Chase is lapping him.
It will not happen anyway.

Hendrick Motorsports gets a line-up of Kenseth, Elliott, Bowman, and Byron. Intriguing.

Truex wins, pretty obvious, he's not going to waste this dominating season finishing second or third. Seven wins and 17 top 5s is going to get him a well deserved championship, I don't see Elliot finishing in the top 4 or Johnson.

I say Truex. Johnson, Elliot, Hamlin DNF due to wierd gremlins/crashes at Homestead. Leaves Blaney and KDB. KDB wins 2018 Championship.

Winning is the only way he can do it at this point I think.

Not quite but short of some crazy incident involving a large orange balloon, a jet dryer on fire and an Ambulance on the entry to pit road...yeah, he needs to win.

That was my point. The fall race at PIR has always disgusted me ..... its almost as if the majority of the drivers are just making laps and day dreaming about the off season. The only reason that I am even going is because my wife and daughter want to see Junior race for the last time

6 laps to go
nascar throws a fake caution
on restart big pile up turn 1
all 4 playoff cars are wrecked and cant continue
KDB awarded cup because his car
managed to skid 7.3 ft further than the others.

I don't know, I'm sure one of those other 32 drivers would be okay with a win, regardless od whether they are in the chase or not.

Danica wins at Homestead. NASCAR gives her the title as a parting gift.

I hope you have good time

My daughters has all the tickets but I think its Foyt.
That is front stretch somewhere I think , my last few times we sat in turn one/two Allison,

I cant wait to take my daughter to PIR for the first time, just waiting for her to get a little bit older.

Yeah ....... real little kids don't have much fun there ....... we took my grand baby to a truck race that not many attended and it was much better for her ... she had room to play and fall down stairs o_O:D

lol they know how to fall down don't they ?

She is 6, so I figure a few mores years before she is ready go and to be able to handle it and have a good time.

Yes they do !!! 6 or 7 should be good with a small crowd ..... 8 or 9 with a cup crowd I guess. They don't seem to get much from the racing aspect of it all

Has any driver just decided to "waste" a season in the final race? Lol

Similar to the scenario I've had in mind since they announced the current Final Four championship race.

All four contenders either wreck or suffer mechanical failure causing each of them to head to the garage for repairs.

The race then becomes who can get back on the track first in order to limp around the track in a beat up car with no front fenders.

The one with the most laps completed is the season champion, even if he's unable to do a quality burn-out.

That scenario won't work under the current rules, once you go to the garage you're finished.
