Here's the current list of best selling vehicles in the United States from the MSN Auto webpages. This list agrees with every other that I've found with the exception of the number of years the Ford F series has been the best seller.
Some say 21, others say 23, 26, or 28.

Trucks continue to dominate, as recent 2004 year-end sales figures prove.
The Toyota Camry continues to be the best-selling passenger car in America.
The TrailBlazer, Chevrolet's midsize sport-utility vehicle, is one of only two SUVs among the top ten sales leaders for calendar 2004.
The Accord was one of two Honda vehicles to break the top ten in sales; one of four passenger cars to do so.

Full-size pickup trucks continue to be the most popular vehicles with American buyers. Sales for calendar 2004 show the Ford F-Series and Chevrolet Silverado as the top two sellers in the country, with the Dodge Ram coming in fourth, according to sales information published by the Automotive News Data Center.
Calendar 2004 was the 22nd year in which the F-150 has been the best-selling vehicle in America, and the truck had its best sales year ever with 939,511 units sold. This eclipsed the old record of 912,000 units.
The 2004 F-150 sales numbers are even higher than the combined sales of the Chevrolet Silverado and its GMC Sierra twin.
The Toyota Camry (including the Camry Solara) was the best-selling passenger car in America for the third consecutive year, beating out the Honda Accord by about 40,000 units. The last time Accord beat Camry for the top spot was back in 2001.
The Camry was the only Toyota in the top ten, while Honda placed the Civic third in passenger car sales and seventh overall. These three were the only import brands in the top ten.
The Ford Explorer, which for years has been the best-selling sport-utility vehicle in the country, retains its crown and was one of only two SUVs in the top ten in sales during 2004. The Chevrolet TrailBlazer moved up the list into ninth position. The Chevrolet Impala returns to the top ten list for the second year in a row, and the soon-to-be-replaced Ford Taurus rounds out the top ten.
