Lucas Oil buck fifty Truck race at Phoenix

From what I'm reading on Twitter, NASCAR wasn't sure that the lights would have stayed on for the rest of the race. Apparently the power company couldn't promise it wouldn't happen again. They got lucky once that no one had a serious problem when the lights went out while trucks were at full speed.

What 24?? Laps to go? I think they could have got it done. Had it been a Cup race everyone would be up in arms. I just feel like a race should finish when they have a chance. People here complained when Nascar called a race WHILE it was raining and would have been the whole night. Yet the lights were on with little over 20 to go and because they MIGHT go out that's ok to call it?
 
No point in getting riled up over something that you can't change. The race is NASCAR's to call, and they did.
The more important thing is that it doesn't happen again this weekend.

Well I checked what the Phoenix time was when it ended, right before 10. So if that's late oh boy, and NASCAR ending a race on a what if?! Oh OK next time it's past halfway and Jr is leading can they end the race because something might happen? I swear for fans who bash NASCAR when they get it right :/ no one is mad when they get it wrong. The race should have finished.

Wasnt my decision to call the race but the lights were going on and off all over the place. I was there and Im not mad, just damned glad to be at the track

It was bad, lights on different parts of the track would just go off or flash, I am surprised that they even started the race at all

Awesome. He's damn good. I said a year or 2 ago I can't wait for the young talent to come to cup and finally end the gentleman's era.

I hope we dont see Jones in cup for a long time, a truck championship for Kyle and a nationwide championship first IMO
maybe Kyle will have a nationwide program going again in a few years, I would really like to see that happen, maybe a cup team one day too
