Sure, but how much data are we talking?
No data using wi-fi.
Sure, but how much data are we talking?
Not sure but for me I'm unlimited. I can tell you that I use Pandora quite a bit and never come close to the 2GB that most have as a limit. Channel 90 will be available online starting tomorrow.Sure, but how much data are we talking?
Also...this may change my mind...is channel 90 not available at all on line? or just the races?
I doubt it.I wonder if they'll stream the driver channels. I'd love to be able to listen on my phone rather than crappy censored trackpass scanner.
Congrats on your correct prediction.
So it was'nt Tim Tebow being traded to the Jets?
I was kinda hoping the shout out was validation enough for you. Thanks! What do I win?
Thanks... I appreciate it.I just added my SIRIUS/XM internet access to my existing account for $3.50/month.
If you do not already have an account then internet access alone is $14.95/month.
I also just downloaded the SiriusXM Android app on my smartphone and it works great. I'll try using it all day tomorrow to get an idea of how much data is downloaded when on the mobile network.
Which data monitor do you use? I like 3G watchdog
Wow...Data hog is right!!!!47.6MB/Hr listening to Sirius NASCAR Radio
They do that so you can't give out your account info to your forum friendsAnother Update.....
If you are listening on one device and try to log on and listen on another you will be disconnected from the original device. In other words I was listening online on my desktop. I then started the app on my smartphone. Within a couple of minutes my desktop became disconnected because I logged on elsewhere. So..... no sharing the connection.
No kidding. I did another 35 minutes or so on my way into the office this morning and I'm now at just over 73MB. Part of that ride included some streamed music as well as the NASCAR channel. I'd guess that the music is taking up more bandwidth. Without unlimited data I guarantee I couldn't use the mobile app the way I intend to. I've always used Pandora on my phone and never come close to that kind of data usage.Wow...Data hog is right!!!!
Wow...Data hog is right!!!!
I didn't do that calculation but I can tell you that if I were limited to 2GB a month, as many seem to be, I would have already used 3.6% of my allowed data after a little over an hour. I'd use up 2GB in a little more than a day at that rate. I'd definitely call that a battery hog..1 Mb a second? That's nothing.
yeah, ok...Read above.1 Mb a second? That's nothing.
yeah, ok...Read above
I did. did you? You do know the difference between Mb and MB, right?
I'd use up 2GB in a little more than a day at that rate
Maybe I should make it in BOLD print?
I'll take the numbers out of the equation and I'll make it as simple as I can. The Android SiriusXM app uses a lot of data. DO NOT take that route if you are on a data limit with your carrier. YOU WILL exceed your data limit in a very short period of time.
+1So glad I am grandfathered in on Verizon's unlimited.
Quick data update on the Android mobile app for SiriusXM Radio. I'm @ 1.23GB after just shy of a week of casual listening. Again, beware you 2GB or even 4GB limit customers.
Are any of you out there using this and how great is it? I'm loving this portability of the NASCAR channel. Two thumbs up because that's all I have.
