Manufacturers

Well we'll agree to disagree. To me you're no Kyle fan but it's your opinion even if it's wrong.

Now I've heard everything. Ridiculous. a who is a fan who is not bunch of hogwash. There are a lot of factors that go into the average fan of Nascar. It isn't simple with some people even when they have that name in their moniker

What? Kyle's the only driver I'm a fan of. As I said I don't have multiple drivers I like. I'm not sure how you justify not liking Ford but will pull for them. That makes no sense at all.
Pulling for or being a fan of a driver means you like that driver. What he drives is a horse of a different color. If your a manufacturer fan you follow the make no matter who the driver is. There are that type of people. in case you wonder. I was NEVER a Ford fan but in my heart I did cheer for Mark Martin until his first retirement. My driver was Brad K and still is even though he drives a Ford. Blaney is my other go to guy. BUT, if both of them are knocked out of a race, I still watch the race because first I am a race fan no matter who is in the field.
I soon will be able to BOOOOOOoooooooooooo Kenseth.

not for me, I have a couple in the ricers I like to watch, Bell and Gragson, and Hamlin for comedy relief.

Now I do pull for multiple drivers in the lower series. Really like Hemric, Bell, Nemecheck, and like Blake Kock before he lost his ride. In the Trucks I liked Ben Rhodes but he's now driving a Ford so I won't be pulling for him to win a race, really wanted to see him beat Kyle but not now.

Yeah I still watch the race if Kyle is out. NASCAR fan first, Ford hater second, and Kyle Busch fan third.

So you do have some likes, drivers you can cheer for. You just won't cheer for any Ford driver.

I have too many drivers to list, it just turned out that way I started with a couple of drivers at the start way back when, and I could say that a fan that only likes one driver, or just a manufacturer isn't a fan, but that isn't the truth, that is what some do and there isn't a thing wrong with it, we do it how we like it.

At the Cup level I'll only cheer for Kyle, if he's out I just don't want to see a Ford win. Now there are other drivers I like that I've watched come up through the system like Kyle Larson and Will Byron but I won't pull them to win a race against Kyle Busch.

For me once a driver hops in Ford he becomes the bad guy. I don't hate the Ford drivers I just don't want to see them win.

I will say this.....I am a TRD Toyota fan first, but Kyle Busch in a TRD Toyota sends me to a different stratosphere. @kyle18fan and my man @Thegeneral23 will drive me to the home if Kyle ever steps out of one of MY TRD powered Toyota Camrys.

In my icon picture the chevy's had an advantage in 1995 because the ford's were not balanced properly. Jeff won like 8 times Dale like 4 and Sterling like 2.

It depends on what kind of racing it is. NASCAR I go with a driver. Sports cars I go with the manufacturer.
Yeah, most everything else I root against Ford, and strongly.

NASCAR kinda just evolved into more of a drivers' series.

Ford says it can now match Toyota car cycle

Ford says it could now match the two-year new car cycle that rival manufacturer Toyota has employed successfully in the NASCAR Cup series.
Ford added Stewart-Haas Racing to its stable of teams in 2017 and has invested in cutting-edge analytical tools, an improved windtunnel, and made key hires such as former Red Bull aero specialist Tommy Joseph.

Ford Performance’s global director Mark Rushbrook told Autosport/Motorsport.com that Ford now believes it has the resources to match Toyota’s cycle if it believes it needs to.

I’m a driver fan first! It all started with Richard petty then Kyle petty then Kevin Harvick! I like all American cars the best and would never root for a rice burner!

The reason I started rooting for the Toyotas is that I thought they received an unwarranted amount of sh!t from a lot of people when they came into the sport. It's like, you've got this manufacturer that wants to be a part of your sport and invest in it, but they faced a lot of resistance from fans and some owners (cough....Jack Roush....cough), and still do to an extent, although it isn't as bad as it once was.

The amount of foreign cars PRODUCED and SOLD in Canada and the USA makes it obvious that people don't care where the head office is. People want dependable cars at a reasonable price. The Big 3 have never produced dependability until they were forced to by foreign manufacturers. They still have a way to go IMO.

Yeah, competition is a good thing. It leaves everybody in an industry little choice but to constantly strive for improvement. The Big 3 have stepped it up a lot in recent years. I'm still a little leery of Chrysler products as they still seem to have their share of quality issues, but I probably would be OK with buying a GM or Ford now.

and they showed up at Daytona with Michael Waltrip and a can of rocket fuel. :D:p:rolleyes:

And a lot of good that did 'em. I think Michael Waltrip only qualified for like a third of the races in 2007.

And the Toyota grumbling started long before Rocket Man Mikey showed up.

Now Larson says he hasn't had a problems with Chevy's having a speed problem... He hasn't met the Reddit police.

Exactly....like the Fords and GM products racing in NASCAR. Dodge and Toyota had to crash the party.
I guess I'm more Manufacturer than driver. My main guy will probably always be a Ford driver. And like I said, I support the Ford teams because most do not and I like the underdog. I picked BK when he drove a Dodge after Mark went to limited schedule but I still cheered for him in that Chevy. Getting ripped off of that D500 win was heart wrenching, even if it was in a Chevy. And getting beat for the title and finishing 2nd for the 4th time was really hard to endure...again. But over all I like to see the Blue Ovals do well in any racing they are involved with. If they are not, I go with the American makes.

Well documented that Toyota went racing differently with TRD--many still ass hurt over it. Ford has now seen the light. Chevy has not.

I think Chevy's issue this year is the new car. They will get it figured out eventually. 42 seems to have so the rest will follow suit eventually.

I owned GM for 50 years with a few Fords thrown in. I will never buy another GM product even with a lifetime warranty because they will find away to NOT honor the warranty. I have never owned 1 good dependable ford other than my 86 town car.
I own a 2010 Nissan Altima with 200,000 km on it and other than brake maintenance and battery replacement I have only had to replace 1 muffler. My daughter just got rid of her 86 Altima and there is nothing wrong with the car.

Yeah, there is no way in hell that the Chevy designers/engineers are so far off that whatever is screwed up cannot be corrected. Maybe they could lease Kez to do some bitching for them? :p

Kez don’t get results....the greatest was Earnhardt Sr. He whined, it got took care of.
