March Madness is right around the corner, I'm happy right now as Mercer just got in and that's my home team. Hoping they do good and also watching for UNC.

Who's planning on watching?

Well it depends my Vermont Catamounts need to stop losing to Albany at the moment in our conference semifinals since we have to win to get in.

I'll watch most of it as usual. None of my favorites look like they have much of a legitimate shot at winning it all this year. Ohio State is just too weak offensively, Duke is just too inconsistent and nobody else really comes to mind right now as my normal favorites. I do like Wichita State this year and I think and hope they have a realistic chance of winning the title. I also like Creighton's story, but while they seem to have the best player in the country this year, the rest of the team isn't quite good enough to pull it off.

Well **** you go 15-1 in conference winning every game by 20 and choke it away in the conference semis darn America East Conference. Oh well its the NIT for Vermont.

Ivy League does it best by awarding the auto bid to the regular season champ. Count on the nerds to make the most sense even in sports.

That makes a lot more sense than giving it to a team that gets hot over two or three days for a tournament. Rewarding consistency, there's a concept that NASCAR followed for years and then just gave up on for the hope of increased money for a playoff format.

I have a friend from college who grew up a Stony Brook fan before we started going to school. I remember how pissed off he was one year when they went something like 14-2 in conference play but lost the championship game,

And thats why I'd be mad if they did just give it to regular season champ because I believe Vermont beat Stony Brook that year

Come on Mercer! beat Duke!

I'd like it as a Mercer fan since they go on, and as a UNC fan cause Duke is out haha.

I think nearly all college basketball fans will be happy if Mercer can pull off what Lehigh did a couple of years ago.

I was at Greensboro Coliseum for that game, it was nuts. Despite being in NC, it became a Lehigh home game because seven fan bases (especially the UNC contingent who stuck around after they beat Vermont like me) were rooting for Lehigh/against Duke.

All I know is I wish I could make the trip to NC but ill be watching from my living room Mercer shirt and all. Mercer has beaten too teams before, remember a game last year where they beat Bama.

I have to say, this is the most wide open tournament in recent memory. There certainly aren't any super teams. Every team has flaws. Even most of the top teams have lost games they had no business losing this year which makes them all very unpredictable in this one and done tourney.

Go Gators.
They seem to have as good a shot as anybody. Most "experts" are saying that either Florida or Michigan State will win it. I've seen Michigan State play several times this year and I just don't see it. In fact, I just saw them lose to my beloved Ohio State Buckeyes last week and I have to admit, my Buckeyes are pretty bad right now. How they started off 15-0, I have no idea. They are the gang that can't shoot straight and they just beat the team many people think is going to win it all? I just don't see it, but you never know. I've been wrong before. I was wrong once just last week as a matter of fact.

I know absolutely nothing about B-ball but I filled out a bracket for the billion dollars. I figure if anyone wins it It'll be a lucky dumbass like me.

Edit: Final four, Florida- Villanova, Arizona- Duke.

Playoff, Florida- Duke, Florida wins it.

I don't watch Basketball but as a Tennessee sports fan I believe it's a state law I at least ask. Are the Vols playing?

There went my Billion dollar bracket on the first day. 1 right and 2 wrong.

They had no business being a top 25 team. Love that lil' old Dayton, a school just 70 miles south of them, knocked them out of the tourney.
I'm an Ohio State fan, but I knew they weren't going very far. I thought they'd beat Dayton, but I didn't have them going any further than that.

Same. I had them beating Dayton, but no way they got past Syracuse. Our dumbass President had them getting beat by Kansas.

I picked Syracuse to win it all, they're up by a bunch over Western Michigan right now. I don't think they'll have a problem with Dayton either.

I already said my beloved Buckeyes were really bad right now. This is a tough way for Aaron Craft's college career to end, but I figured they would lose either to Dayton or certainly to Syracuse if they did beat Dayton.

As one of the few Duke fans around here, I have to say I was pretty disappointed in Duke's showing in the tourney this year. Although, this is the second time in three years that they lost in the first round, so nothing surprises me with them anymore.

Always good to see Duke exit the tourney early. The round of 64 as a whole was as exciting as I can remember.

Brought about a couple great gifs too. White boy doing the Nae Nae.

And of course the robot bomb...

What in the hell was that white guy on? How did he pass a drug test?

And the surprises keep on coming, just like every year. Syracuse obviously had some flaws exposed toward the end of the year, but I certainly thought they would beat an 11 seed to go to the Sweet 16.
