March Madness 2025

We’re still two years removed from a Final Four that featured FAU and SDSU, so I don’t think we’re that far gone just yet. The 2023 CFB season was historically top-heavy before this past season was quite a bit more chaotic, so I think it may just be the natural swinging of the pendulum. We’re still pretty early on in the learning curve as it relates to the NIL and unrestricted transfers.
I wish I agreed with you. I don't think it's natural at all.

This is the first time the Sweet 16 has been all power conference teams since the Sweet 16 officially started in 1975.

Big East schools seem to be the ones poised to benefit the most from the new revenue sharing formula starting next year. Something to keep an eye on over the offseason with the portal open.

Been some rumors going around of Dayton and VCU possibly joining the league as well.

We should see a high scoring game with Duke vs Alabama. Alabama mase 25 3's in their last game. High scoring games scare me as anything can happen. :)

There it is - all four 1 seeds in the Final Four for the second time ever (2008). Hopefully we get three bangers next week. It does feel as though we’ve been mostly lacking drama even in the second weekend.

There's been no "madness" in March Madness. And with the direction college sports is heading, I can see all this stuff looking more and morel like Major League Baseball.

The biggest spenders aren’t the ones making deep runs this year. The programs generally accepted to have spent the most last offseason - K-State, Indiana, Arkansas, Kansas - were actually all pretty mediocre at best. The biggest common denominator among the Final Four teams is experienced talent and minutes continuity from last season. Duke is an outlier, but they had the best HS recruiting class with three likely lottery picks along with two other very experienced starters.

Between the men and the women number one seeds are six for six so far. I wonder if the only thing stopping a clean sweep is the injury to the USC girl.
