A friend of mine told me the owners of the defunct Marlboro Motor Raceway are considering selling it.
The property has traded hands several times since they stopped racing there, and the only way the track would ever see racing again is if there were thousands of dollars of repavement efforts poured into it, and levees built on the backstretch to prevent flooding and prevent the track from being overtaken by water. In other words, it's improbable.
But if you're interested in living on a piece of racing history, it might be worth checking out. I've just got to take the drive up there and see if it's true, first.
