I've been looking forward to this one. If I get there early enough I'm going for the track walk. DP, do they open the infield to fans?

So far that's three of us on r-f.com that's going to M-Ville!

I should order the famous M-Ville hotdogs and take a picture of it. :p

Now I know how you guy's felt when the three of us went to the Eldora Truck Race, It sucks, I wanna go but can't, the wife's working.

I don't think they do for the track walk. The infield there is nothing more than the haulers and garage. I think you need a hard card.

Take some warm clothes guys, low temps in the 20s and 30s and highs in the 40s and 50s. Good news is it looks like no rain sleet or snow.

I packed for everything. I've sat there on a Saturday with my winter coat and the following day wearing a tee-shirt. You never know what you'll get.

Where will you be seated at? I'll be at section KK, row 35.

I'll be DVR'ing that race since I'm going to a Halloween party on Saturday.
I'm in section 201 of the South Terrace. It is just to the left of where this picture is taken from. That's the isle to my seat location.

One year at Atlanta, it was in the eighties and we went downtown in short sleeved shirts, That night, a sudden change brought freezing temperatures, high wind that knocked over porta-potties and hospitality tents.

Martinsville, sat with temps over 100 degrees in the grandstands and also with temps in the low thirties. As they say in the commercial for the New York State lottery, "HEY! Ya never know!" Sounds like DPK has things under control and is well prepared.

Good news. No cooler needed.

I just picked up a slightly oversized Walls with a hood, $10 seat cushion and some dense jeans. Throw in my beer glove and I'm good to go. Thanks for the heads up though.

I remember one of the Atlanta races, back when it was the last race of the year ---- it was 26* race morning. I think I had on every piece of clothing I brought except my nightgown. Yet, during the race, sitting in full sun, I started pulling off layers. I think some people were wondering when exactly I was going to stop. LOL

Cue the striptease music, TRL is hot again.

I love Martinsville. One of my favorite races of the year.

Jimmie will dominate but won't win it. Victory will go to Jeff Gordon.

I think Johnson is going to win it this weekend, I can feel it.

I wonder if I can still get a ticket to the truck race....

Yep. Worked for JJ when he studied Gordon's. :D

Nothing annoys me more than a driver who shrugs and says "I've never been any good here". WTH? If you know you're no good, work it until you are good. It's surely worth the pay.

I was looking at the stats, Harvick runs Martinsville every year since 05 in a truck, Hamlin since 2011 Must be good for his back.

True enough.

There was a time (not so long ago) where Gordon could not catch a break at Texas. That track seem to hate the guy.

You just keep working at it until you man the track.

Alot of drivers go into certain races already knowing they will do bad. Nice attitude dudes.

Not sure why Gordon doesn't run extra races here. Its his definite favorite and he does good here 99.99 percent of the time.
