Ive noticed that in the ast few years brake failures and brake issues have been a lot less of an issue than in the past. I Wonder if there was some kind of change somewhere with NASCAR rules and tolerances

Allowing them to put camber in the rear end helps tire wear a whole bunch too.
 
Yup, speeds are dropping off. Which shows that Goodyear doesn't need to do anything with the tires. Tires are already part of the equation

They changed the tires for this race, which is why tires are now a bigger part of the equation.:p
