Translation: I'm feeling a bit paranoid about my ability to focus long enough to spin a believable tale about how this plea deal proves Jeremy has been vindicated.

The thing is, Mayfield wasn't that good of a Cup level driver. If NASCAR reinstates him, he may get a Cup race or two in an under-funded car but I don't ever see him getting back behind the wheel of a racecar capable of winning a Cup race. I see him running the Truck Series.

That pretty much sums it up for me as well. What are the odds that he'd still be in cup anyway, even without all the legal problems?

Seriously what owner or for that matter sponsor would want to touch him, lets be real the most he could hope for is running a late model at the local bullring.

You can be sure that Claritin isn't interested.

He won several races and made Chases. Better than most can say.

The unfortunate part is if he had done what Nascer requires, what 4 or 5 years ago, and taken the road to recovery his racing career would also be well on the road to recovery by now.

Perhaps an underfunded team will hire Jeremy to go out and acquire some good cars for the team.

Ha....yeh probably racing trucks, he would never get a Cup ride again.
