So many..Kahne, Jr., Knaus.
Kahne was the first bonehead I believe. Over drove the car, ran out front almost 5 seconds ahead on old tires...ka boom blows out the right front...bonehead..interviewed by the press, still doesn't have a clue how that happened.
Jr.... man, I know you are not used to leading the race, but while you were riding around listen to JR nation cheering wildly, over 4seconds ahead..did you look at your gauges?...ka boom..bonehead.
Knaus..sounding like control central, you kept loosing spots all day in the pits and telling Jimmy it is ok..put in two cans on the last two tire stop, while the others only took one....bonehead

Chad Knaus for taking 4 tires the second to last to stop I believe it was. Forced JJ to work twice as hard to get it back, only to blow a tire.

Jeff Gordon for taking out Bobby Labonte , why didn't he just go around him ? Why try to drive through him ? Never gonna work, never .;)

Jr said on the radio that all his gauges were normal after he dropped a cylinder.

Just sayin'.
I was listening to his radio and thats exactly what I heard.
When he told the CC it had a problem the first thing LeTarte asked was what are the gauges reading. Temp both oil and water were normal, oil and water pressure were normal, even battery voltage, normal.
If I had to guess I'd say it broke a valve spring and ran on 7 till the valve dropped and it done blowed up.
Please note I said GUESS.

I give it to Chad Knaus even though I realize where he was going with his decision. Even Larry McPenis understood the intent. I realize it failed, but man-O-man it came close to working!

I guess he looked at all the gauges except his valve spring gauge. What an idiot!

The gauges wouldn't really show anything different with a dead cylinder. Slight difference in the tach. He should've felt it in the gas pedal, though.
Oh good you're here and commenting on this. Your buddy standonit appears to be lookin for some one to have a friendly debate with on what happened to the 88.;)
be prepared to be wrong.

Or an out of spec cam:)

I put down what I thought were bone head moves. If you got one put it down there, you got a problem with my picks and want to make something out of it, your choice. Forgot there were so many whiners on here. I thought it was stupid of both of them to run way out in front on a hot day at a track that is really tough on tires and engines. Both of them paid the price.
Chad on the other hand gave Jimmy 4 tires on the next to the last pit stop..ok I guess, sets Johnson up for a two tire stop on the last stop. So the last stop, instead of dropping the jack when the tires are on, the jackman holds up until they put two cans of fuel in. Jimmy burns of the tire trying to catch Biffle

Did they????
No they did not, but that is not what you said. You said capable and from what I saw there were 2 Hendrick cars that were beyond capable. In fact The 5 and the 48 were BY FAR the best cars on the track today and don't forget that Mr. Stewart drives a Hendrick car along with Ms. Patrick.
If you didn't mean "capable" so be it. If you did mean "capable" you are DEAD WRONG!

If you do not complete ALL of the laps in the race then you aren't capable of winning said race. By your assessment, I guess Bobby Labonte had a car capable of winning, also.

Right, I know. By that point, the engine is toast. By then, gauges do no good.

But oh well, we don't need another long winded debate on motors. Lol

Where did stewart finish? where did your favorite #10 finish? Like it or not they are Hendrick cars, not just the engines either, the whole car! I'm done going back and forth with you on this. Thanks for your entertainment :)

If you're addressing me, both of my drivers finished in the top 10 (note avatar).
Raise your level of awareness. Stewart doesn't drive for HMS; he drives for SHR.
