Not today my friend
Not today my friend
"You're gonna need a bigger roll."
It most certainly does. From track position to picking pits stalls. Its criticalTbh. Qualifying doesn't matter a lot in NASCAR anyway. No need to make it "interesting" for TV, they could just stream it on YouTube.
It's safe to say they won't reach 220 mph on the frontstretch like they once used to but unlike 2019-21 there should be some off-throttle time.I'll also take the "under."
Since the 2012 repave, the allure of MIS has been the raw, breath-taking speed at corner entry. Unless you are going damn fast, the broad, 18-degree banked turns are less challenging than most other racetracks.
This year, with the very high amounts of aero drag inherent in the Next Gen car coupled with modest 670 horsepower, I expect the cars to be sluggish on the straights, as if they're pulling an anchor. I hope I'm wrong, but that's my expectation. Not a good race for someone like Eleanor Roosevelt...

I'm looking forward to the race but I'm not sure how much of it I'll get to see since NASCAR and IndyCar are once again going head to head for no good reason at all.
It's still stupid. As we have seen several times, Rick will mention the IndyCar winner during the Cup race. That's why DVR's were invented like 25 years ago
A lot of blunders really hid just how fast he's been this season.Bubba has been on a roll here. I think we've all been waiting for this.
I don't think it's a championship caliber talent, but he certainly a hell of a lot better than his results the last year or so. Glad to see him stringing together some momentum

I'm not saying it's completely irrelevant but compared to F1, MotoGP or IndyCar it plays much less of a role. I've often seen fast cars that started in the back running in the Top 10 by the end of stage one.It most certainly does. From track position to picking pits stalls. Its critical
Agreed, they have played spoiler more than once. It's still stupid. As we have seen several times, Rick will mention the IndyCar winner during the Cup race.
Tape Cup, watch Indy. It's still stupid. As we have seen several times, Rick will mention the IndyCar winner during the Cup race.
Has something changed since post # 31?
Lots of rain crossing the lake
WTF!....Another tape reference....oh, sorry....I'm a little sensitive to that word.Tape Cup, watch Indy.
Lots of rain crossing the lake
That is one high tech piece of equipment! And the tape, Hi-Fi Stereo!
Y'all get the point.WTF!....Another tape reference....oh, sorry....I'm a little sensitive to that word.
Significant rain in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois right now.
Hard to imagine that southern Michigan won't get slammed.
No lights. Radar looks like if they start, they won't be running for long. If I was in the stands, I'd be headed for the car.Do they have lights at Michigan or are we looking at the race being postponed to Monday.
asking for a friend . . . .
That's why DVR's were invented like 25 yea
DVR works good for people that are at home but not so good for people who travel a lot like myself. Most hotels don't have them. That is one high tech piece of equipment! And the tape, Hi-Fi Stereo!
