Dammit! Cox Cable is at it it again. NASCAR racing on standard ESPN, not ESPN HD. Instead, last week's Indycar race is on the high def side.

Can anyone tell me why there is a semi-circle of asphalt on the infield near the start/finish line? I see that it was put there before the first Michigan race - but don't know why.
