Who do you think is the most aggressive driver? One that actually has a shot at winning now or in the near future. I am a die hard Earnhardt Sr. fan, and looking for a driver who has a more aggressive style of racing like Dale Sr. did. Some have pointed to Kyle and Kurt Busch, others have said that Larson and Dillon are going to be aggressive. Others have pointed me towards Kasey Kahne, Joey Lagano and Brad Keslowski..

So this year I will be looking for a driver to root for....

Good question. I think the most aggressive drivers will be the one who are typically running mid pack and use strategy to get a shot at a win. Could be some guys in desperation mode like Dinger and Vickers. Kyle, Kurt, Kez and a few others were aggressive until the system beat them down.

A replacement for Earnhardt is a tough order to fill. I ended up with Kyle Busch and Im happy with that

If you mean aggressive with their racing and not necessarily strategy I would definitely have to say the Busch bros. are as aggressive as it gets.

Stewart, Harvick, Kez are right up there to and Larson has shown so far that he will do what he has to do in a racecar.

I always hear all this talk about agressiveness. That no longer works.

This isn't the 90s man. Its all about finesse.

That is how Jimmie has won all his championships, not being agressive but being smooth at the wheel.

Being agressive only gets you in trouble most often than not.

Watching Johnson win championships bores me to death, almost as much as watching Matt Kenseth win a race. If they all drove like Johnson would anyone even watch ??

Aggressive is the new word in racing. NASCAr is going to be more like it was in the fifties through seventies when wins were more important than the championship. Wins are what get drivers/teams to challenge for the championship and this is how things were then. No more coasting or strategy for points accumulation and a "safe" ride to the championship. I know Bryan thinks this is the answer but still, too much emphasis is placed on the championship. I really don't shive a git about the champion. I want to watch races where everyone tries their absolute balls to the wall damnedest to win every time they are on the track. Aggression is the only way and those to timid might as well get under the porch. There are plenty willing to do it and KEselowski, Busch (Kyle and Kurt) are prime examples.

Well said, Whiz. I just want good racing. If a wreck or DNF has less consequences, maybe guys will go for it more often.

If late restarts were wild last year, they could be insane this year.

I was thinking about that like yesterday.. if someone already has a win or two and is guaranteed to be in the chase... why would they lay back all season.. wouldn't they just take more chances and go for wins more often with aggressive setups and crazy 3 n 4 wide moves on the apron n whatnot? I know I would...

"F*** layin back I'm in the chase already I'm goin for it!"

Ooooh and Joey Logano to the inside of Tony Stewart.. they bump. they're all over each other!. looks like there's a water bottle being thrown from the 22 car.. Tony has his arm out the window but he just caaan't quite reach Joey's hair! Comin to the white flag next time by!.. Into turn one it's Tony by a fender.. they're neck and neck down the back stretch! Into turn 3 Tony Stewart looks to have the advantage!.. but wait.. he's slowing.. Joey Logano takes the lead... Tony Stewart seems to be... wait.. Is that a burger stand on the entrance to pit row?! Ooh my goodness I can't believe what I'm seeing.. Tony Stewart was about to win the Daytona 500 for the first time in his career and gave it up on the last lap to go eat a burger... Joey Logano is your Daytona 500 champion ladies and gentlemen! What......A....Race!

....and while that crap was going on Joey neglected to see Kyle Busch coming like a freight train on the outside for the win. Joey is doing doughnuts--embarrassing as Kyle is the winner. You must have missed Fontana.

More the eff you Hamlin part .. but that's all I have to say about that... not trying to get in trouble here lol :D

Yeah, what a jackwad. Passing a guy when you are faster is a bunch of crap. Joey had that problem on that day. Tony first. Denny second. Made a bunch of friends.

On an unrelated note...kind of....This will be an interesting year for Joey. Honestly, I think we saw him emerge for real. If he backs it up, could be interesting. Kyle Busch racing the way Joey races on occasion would be roasted.

Loved the way he bounced off Joey on the backstretch in Fontana last year. I'm here! I'm coming! ....and then Joey went off and was Joey.
Both of them were being aggressive and not backing off. It's unfortunate that Hamlin got hurt but I'd like to see more of that type of racing - with a different winner ;)

I like the aggression.. wish it would have been there from the get go... don't get me wrong I don't like that Hamlin was hurt.. I like that Joey didn't back down... remember Hamlin knew Joey was on old tires and already got loose a couple times and decided to pinch him down to the bottom of the track and give Kyle the win... As far as Tony.. he never was faster than Joey that day.. just got a run on the restart.. Joey ran 2nd most of that day to Kyle and Denny was only fast because he had fresh tires. Also.. lol I love this reference.. The block Joey made on Tony was a lot like the block Harvick put on Joey at Michigan.. the difference? Instead of crying about it Joey went below the line, passed Harvick and won the race..

Plus.. like Joey said yesterday in the media thing... He's not here to make friends.. he's here to win.

I see no reason to think Joey won't be able to back up what he did last year, plus a couple more wins. Hopefully Brad is running a bit better so the whole team is elevated.. but they're not new anymore, I think every member of the team is the same as last year except a couple of tire changers or something.. last year it was new driver, engineer, shock guy, etc... and they did well.. plus now Joey has this new attitude... I see good things in the future for them.

Kyle Busch is a dick though lol.. Joey's a nice kid.. always smiling and happy.. lol but when he sees a shot at the lead or for a win.. he goes for it.. that's one of the things I like about him.. he'll drive where his car will let him.. if he's got a 10th place car.. expect him to finish 8th-10th... but if he has a car that can win or go for the lead damn right every time he'll put someone in a bad position to get to the lead.. I see nothing wrong with that. I said on a different forum a couple weeks ago .. he may not get respect acting like that... but he'll get wins.. and they'll respect that... If they won't move... move em... eventually they'll start to move themselves... just ask Dale sr.. :D

If you are looking to start fresh with an aggressive drive and a new face, I'd go with Larson. Being his rookie year and all you can start fresh with a freshman. Plus I think he has everything you are looking for with an aggressive driver.

Even if Tony got by Joey and took the lead coming out of 2 theres no way he would have won.. he probably would have ended up around 8th still.. he wasn't even fast in that race. Joey could have let him go and passed him before the lap was over. Same with Kyle and Kurt..

It would have been pretty cool to see a 200 mph hair pull going on though

Stewart, Harvick, Kyle Busch.

Their temperament is close to Dale Sr's on the track, and they have a history of driving through other cars like Dale did.

Kasey Kahne? He's one of the least aggressive. Jr used to be. I think Kez or Kyle would be the top two.

Tony pissed me off with all that crap at Fontana. I can't count how many times has he bitched about a slower car taking him 3 wide on a late restart, and that's exactly what he tried to do. Joey did EXACTLY what Tony does in those situations. Then he sneak attacks the kid and tries to pull his hair, but calls Joey a little girl for throwing a water bottle when he couldn't get to Tony? Amazing.

The way he played the "Joey injured Denny" card was pathetic. A Denny Hamlin sticker on the car was done to hammer Joey, not out of concern for Denny. Did Tony put a Dale Jr. sticker on his car when Tony's boneheaded move at Talladega got him injured? Nope. He got out of the car and made excuses for what he had done, and actually told the world why it was the right thing to do. Amazing.

...but he sure did a good job of making Joey look like the bad guy... I think it helped Joey more than anything though. Thanks Tony :D He seems a lot more mature about everything than ever before, not saying its just because of Tony.. it's a bunch of things.. but people don't try to fight you often after fighting for 15th place.. Of course they're not going to like it that someone half their age is beating them.. Especially when he wasn't even "a factor" before.. That was another awesome thing about all this lol... stupid Denny

Meanwhile, Denny wrecked himself. Idiot. His whole 'you throw a rock, I throw a cinder block' attitude sure didn't work out that day.
