More Aggressive Drivers???

Tony pissed me off with all that crap at Fontana. I can't count how many times has he bitched about a slower car taking him 3 wide on a late restart, and that's exactly what he tried to do. Joey did EXACTLY what Tony does in those situations. Then he sneak attacks the kid and tries to pull his hair, but Joey is a little girl for throwing a water bottle when he couldn't get to Tony. Amazing.

The way he played the "Joey injured Denny" card was pathetic. A Denny Hamlin sticker on the car was done to hammer Joey, not out of concern for Denny. Did Tony put a Dale Jr. sticker on his car when Tony's boneheaded move at Talladega got him injured? Nope. He got out of the car and made excuses for what he had done, and actually told the world why it was the right thing to do. Amazing.

Tony has been bitching about what others do, and then doing the same things since he started racing in the Cup series.

I was at the Martinsville race in 99 when he dumped Kenny Irwin twice within about 20 laps. Then threw a damn hissy fit on the track and off when Kenny put Tony in the wall as payback a few laps later.

Then Tony complained about Kenny wrecking him in an interview as he was walking back to his hauler.

Classic Tony. lol

I would like to see another driver that is as aggressive as Earnhardt Sr. Wasn't that the whole point of "Boys have at it"? I think that maybe Harvick and Stewart are pretty aggressive, though last year joey showed he can be aggressive.

I'm wanting to see some of these late restarts with the leader followed by a few win hungry drivers. Let's see how many of these, 'I'd wreck my grandma to win a race', drivers follow through on the deal. Mayhem may ensue.

I don't think intentional wrecking will ensue, but hopefully taking bigger risks that require taking more room will. My dream is the gentleman racing comes to an end, but I don't want to see a demo derby either.

Maybe I should have said the intended 'rattle his cage' type of a thing.

I figured you meant the same thing, but I couldn't 'like' your comments without adding some clarity. I have a stellar reputation to uphold. ;)

A perfect example for me is Kasey 'the wuss' Kahne following a slower car to a couple of 2nd place finishes, or never responding to being wreck 4 times by the same careless driver.

Perhaps someone at HMS will inject him with breast milk so he gets the testosterone he's missing.

As much as i hate to say this, on the subject of HMS drivers, couldn't the same be said bout Dale Earnhardt jr?

I certainly hope so, i'd like to see him battling for a few wins, maybe a shot at the top 4 going into homestead

LMAO

Drivers might be a little more aggressive throughout a race if the final green flag run wasn't less than 50 laps 95% of the races.

I honestly thought Tony was talking about himself when he gave that "double standard" remark

Well I don't know him but I just mean the way he presents himself. He just seems friendly. Do you disagree?
I know that a lot of drivers are a different person when they are not under the spot light. But, he may be a great kid, but it is hard to tell unless you see him out of the public eye. I have seen a lot of drivers with 2 personalities.

Harvick --------- A-hole and bigger A-hole

I think when his families name was on the company car he felt he had more freedom to go balls to thewall. He also watched his daddy die and he himself had a near death expierence in a Corvette. Hendrick was too big and I don't mean talent wise,Hendrick is just a very white collar op and I didn't think it was a good fit from the start.

If you want an aggressive driver, then look no further than Ryan Newman. The guy runs harder than just about anyone, wether he's on the lead lap or 10 laps down. Personally I can't stand the guy, I can't count how many times I've cursed him for running so hard when he's so far off the pace. You can't knock his effort though, and he sure doesn't make too many friends out there but he rarely gives an inch to anyone. He might be the LEAST courteous driver in the series.

He is for sure the only driver that wasnt provided a neck when they built him

I haven't seen, on an in-car camera, anyone up on the wheel as hard as he was when he was charging up through the field to win* Richmond last fall.

True, but he should get moved a lot more than he does. It probably has something to do with Joey stealing his neck.

Who do you think is the most aggressive driver? One that actually has a shot at winning now or in the near future. I am a die hard Earnhardt Sr. fan, and looking for a driver who has a more aggressive style of racing like Dale Sr. did. Some have pointed to Kyle and Kurt Busch, others have said that Larson and Dillon are going to be aggressive. Others have pointed me towards Kasey Kahne, Joey Lagano and Brad Keslowski..

So this year I will be looking for a driver to root for....

Your memory of Dale Sr is a lot different than mine . I remember him having the take Erie Irvan aside and tell him to calm down. Ernie was overdriving his cars wrecking himself and others . Dale called him Swervin Irvan and settled him down. This is the Big Time and these guys know how to be aggressive without hitting each other . If you take someone out here , you will pay for it. The guys that are too aggressive don't last long with their owners , sponsors , or fellow drivers .

Yeah it's interesting to watch, he really does get up on the wheel hard. The way he drives is unlike most, it's like he puts all his strength into every turn of the wheel. While other drives like Kyle or Tony never seem to be trying too hard, they're always very relaxed (well at least physically, not emotionally lol)

It is completly possible to be aggressive in today's NSCS racing but eventually the fragilness of the car will dampen your race. Earnhardt had a perfect combination of finess and cage rattling and back in the day those cars could handle it. The pass in the grass wouldn't even work now because the front splitter would dig into the ground and destroy the nose.

I'd think your best bet is Stewart or Harvick. Not afraid to speak their mind on or off the track. I think if you watch Keselowski vs JJ at Texas 2012 you can see how much passionate Kes is about trying to win & force the issue. That boy has a lot of heart
