More ESPN goodness

Hell of a finished?

I hope you were been sarcastic because this whole race was a joke. Rookies shouldn't be allow on Short track races.

They haven't even done the coin toss. ESPN couldn't wait 2 minutes to go to pregame coverage?

Wacky wild wreckfest 250! WOW!

Have you ever?!?!

Rautimann Didn't have to do much really.

19 laps under green. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve the win but I would had like to see him win it properly. He didn't even had the fastest car.

They were two hours on burrow time. They have a contract to keep..and plus its Football.

It will always be first priority. Nascar is secondary.

And the game wouldn't have started until the race coverage was over. NCAAAF makes sure every moment of the game is broadcast.

Gamme didn't start until 7:08pm EST. They could've showed a replay of the wreck and spoke to David Reutimann for 3 seconds.

I'm flat out pissed over this.

Then go to NASCAR.COM and see it there. I'm sure they have it posted already.

NASCAR.com isn't NETWORK TV with an OBLIGATION to Nextel/Sprint?NASCAR that they have paid a pretty penny for. Call the FCC.

It's not just this either.

Fans aren't seeing prerace coverage. Fans in L.A. (a market NASCAR thought was big enough to host two of their biggest races at) aren't seeing races, human errors are causing us to miss finishes, missing restarts, missing wrecks, missing race winning passes, no postrace coverage in Cup, VERY VERY inaccurate information, not showing wrecks for a 35th place car, so on and so on.

It's been a year long thing, and I think just about every race fan is fed up with ESPN and ABC.

Not everyone has access to that.

Starting races on ESPN360.com (which isn't avaliable to everyone, and Verizon closed the hole Barelypure exposed) and having to go online to see what the winner has to say about his first career win is unacceptable.

And you know NCAAF would've held the start until the game was on, so don't feed me that crap either.

I mean, when fans (even on here) are saying they'd rather go PPV than have ESPN, that's a problem.

I'm sure NASCAR can end their contract this year on the grounds of ESPN hasn't lived up to their end.

TNT has a large nationwide market. I'd much rather the races on the top rated cable network than on ABC, where every week there's a strong possibility they just won't cover it.

I'm sure NASCAR will right the situation, even if we have to watch the races on TNT. I mean, everyone has to be on digital cable in 2009 anyway, so what's the big difference between TNT and ABC (other than the fact that TNT had twice as many viewers at Dover than ABC).

I'm sure NASCAR isn't pleased with what they're seeing.

nascar isnt alone. we drag racing fans are watching a live kansas v t A&M football game when NHRA is supposed to be on. I'd say ESPN doesnt have their act together, but i'm afraid to say they dont have an act, therefore what they don't have can't not be together.

Jeez Andy, are you ever positive about anything? I've never seen so much griping as I have with you on just about everything racing. You have to just get used to it, ESPN has a contract and NASCAR isn't going to change a thing. Of course, if you love to comiserate, then things are great for you.

ESPN does suck. I was happy to hear that was comming back, but now wish they would go away. again...

One time today they guys in the booth said there was a wreck but they kept showing cars going around the track and not the crash.

Wow ESPN truely sucks.

I cant believe I'm even up still waiting for Happy hour..I'm wanting to know why Jeff was 39th and 25th in the last two practices and they still giving those drag races.

Great Bobby.

Was anyone watching practice and they just cut to baseball in the middle of the practice..what idiots.

NO, not everyone has to be on DIGITAL CABLE...TV station must broadcast a DIGITAL SIGNAL.

Probably because it's ONLY PRACTICE.....

Ahh of course you're ok with it..your guy was good in practice. I wanted to know what was going on with Jeff. But like you said..oh well its practice.
