It was a glorious day on God's green earth. Just sitting in the third row and watching the stands clear was almost as much fun as the race. I can still see the look of shock in Dale's fan's eyes.
Our seats were high in the Weatherly Tower if I recall. We just moved down after the race to let the crowd filter out.Yep........ I was there also......... sitting high up in the first turn.......
1995 Busch race at Homestead, 2006 fall Cup race at Dover.
The '06 Fall Dover was great! I was there for that one. That race crossed my mind in terms of great endings. Burton and Edwards had an epic duel for the last 10 laps or so!
As an 11 year old Jeff Burton fan who wasn't old enough to remember his past wins at that time, I really enjoyed that race. Then they had the sequel the next spring at TexasThe '06 Fall Dover was great! I was there for that one. That race crossed my mind in terms of great endings. Burton and Kenseth had an epic duel for the last 10 laps or so!
Yes it was. That's when the place was packed to the gills and they still put the condiments on your hotdog for you. We were about mid-way up near the start/finish line. The crowd for this race was amazing.
Kenseth
I was in turn two. Probably the most popular and most unexpected win I've seen liveYes it was. That's when the place was packed to the gills and they still put the condiments on your hotdog for you. We were about mid-way up near the start/finish line.
I was watching at home. One of the greatest races ever. Caution free if I remember correctlyAnother exciting finish I saw live was Bobby Hamilton's victory in the #55 Square D Chevy at Talladega.
