Is that what that was on yesterdays thread?.....The Kurt edict.Racing, and ONLY racing. No talk about fights and rivalries, as per the 'Kurt edict'.

One thing I noticed yesterday. Kurt got on the roof in victory lane. I recall a few years ago, after some controversy about a winner's car being too low or something, that NASCAR banned drivers from getting on the roof post-race. I wonder if there will be some sort of stupid fine or penalty coming from it (which would be the mother of all stupid penalties if it were to happen)
If you caught the victory lane celebration on FOX, when Kurt got out, Krista Voda said "The victory pose, on top of his car, now if that's not an Outlaw move, I don't know what is." I had that first thought when he did it, then she said that, so I assume it's still illegal to be considered an "outlaw move".
That was great. Brad and his spotter messed up on keeping track of who would be pitting. Mainly Brad, because he had to know Kasey was in front of him and intending to pit. One think I'm not sure about is Kez said Kasey had the pit box in front of him, so maybe Kasey missed his box and stopped instead of passing thru. Sure Kurt could have eased off a tad and given Brad a break and they wouldn't have lost much time. IMO, when there was contact, Kurt gassing up and driving thru the 2 was a punk move.
People are whining that Brad tried to wreck kurt, but Brad CLEARLY avoids wrecking him. He planted his left front tire on Kurts door, where there is NO chance of turning him. When Kurt grinds by, Brad moves right so he doesn't catch Kurts rear quarter, which would have turned Kurt to the wall. It's shocking how many nascar fans just don't understand the obvious difference between roughing a guy up and wrecking him.
Props to both for the post race banter. VERY entertaining.
That was such a great win for him yesterday. I am so happy for Kurt and the whole team.
No doubt that Brad could have figured out how to wreck Kurt, somewhere down the line he probably will. There wasnt any whining from my corner, I LOVE that stuff. The Brad K sandwich is an absolute hoot.
It would have been better if Brad had run all over the place slapping himself on the butt though, like he did when Kyle ran over him
I was jumping on my couch the last 3 laps Lisa !!!!!!!
Yeah, that was pathetic. There's a guy who deserved to be wrecked, and Brad didn't do sheet.
What ever happened to loudmouth Denny? Did he slip into the shadows after the race in hopes that people would forget he was supposed to be a factor?
Sorry Bobby, but, i have to disagree. I can think of a few just off the top of my head...Shirley Muldowney, Shelly Anderson, Melanie Troxel, Ashley Force, Courtney Force, Alexis DeJoria, Erica Enders, Leah Pruett.Historically, women haven't fared well in motorsports.
You named 7. Comparatively, far less than men.Sorry Bobby, but, i have to disagree. I can think of a few just off the top of my head...Shirley Muldowney, Shelly Anderson, Melanie Troxel, Ashley Force, Courtney Force, Alexis DeJoria, Erica Enders.
There are more men then women in motorsports...but, that doesn't make the ones that i listed any less talented. You named 7. Comparatively, far less than men.
I guess I should've worded my post better. I didn't mean that there weren't any talented women in motorsports. My point was that compared to men, women have had far less success in motorsports. There are more men then women in motorsports...but, that doesn't make the ones that i listed any less talented.

All of the women you named are drag racers. Drag racing takes far less physical strength for a far shorter period of time than other forms of motorsports.

Well, so far there have been no successful female drivers in the Cup Series...> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_female_NASCAR_driversI don't doubt there are women out there that could be competitive in the Cup series, and I'd really love to see it happen one day. I hope it does. I think it would be great.
Key word here is "competitive".
I'll agree with that. When I was a kid my mom could crack me upside the head before I could flinchI honestly think women naturally have amazing reaction time. For decades there have always been females at the top of the food chain in Pro asphalt drag racing.
Women have had less success because not as many women have pursued a career in motorsports. You are correct that it takes less physical strength in a drag race, but racing is not always about strength and endurance like boxing or weight lifting. Racing is more about car control. If we were judging a drivers talent on physical strength and endurance then the supercross riders would win over cup drivers.I guess I should've worded my post better. Reaction time? You bet us guys are at a disadvantage there.......I walk in the house with my shoes on and I'm blindsided before I knew I was in there.I honestly think women naturally have amazing reaction time. I was late to the party and i'm still trying to catch up and i didn't realize that TRL had warned everyone to stop talking about the subject of women vs men on this thread. I realize how hard it is to keep a thread on track sometimes so i'm out of this conversation on that subject.
My mom could drive a 70's ford LTD. and whip my butt in the backseat at the same time and never miss a turn or me. !!!!! (ouch!!)I'll agree with that. When I was a kid my mom could crack me upside the head before I could flinch
