I had to make the decision to quit chemo for my husband, but I knew that continuing it would do no good.They are planning to unhook the respirator tomorrow morning. I didn't realize until the other day that he and his wife have been together since she was 14. They've been married 48 years and he's only 67 years old. They got married pretty much right out of high school and not long before he enlisted in the Marines and went to Vietnam. Even knowing what he is going through and knowing that he isn't going to get better, I can't imagine how hard it had to be for her to make the decision to just let him go.

Sorry for your loss. Hold close to your loved ones during this hard time. So sorry man.He passed quickly and peacefully surrounded by his family just a few minutes after the vent was turned off a few minutes ago. Thanks again for your prayers, thoughts, concerns, and kind words of support.
