The 40 Greatest NASCAR Moments will air on CMT (Country Music Television - Check local listings) Friday night from 8:00-10:00pm/et. Veteran announcer Ken Squier will narrate the program, which includes footage from NASCAR's first ''strictly stock'' race in 1949 to The Man...Dale Earnhardt's first [and only] Daytona 500 win [1998]. There are interviews with Junior Johnson, Richard Petty, Darrell Waltrip, Bobby Allison, Jeff Gordon and other racing figures.(Tennessean ), the special will re-air a few times, see my TV Listings page for the listings.(1-26-2005)

I enjoyed the show and got a few laughs. Loved the bit about the number one event with Yarbourgh and the Allisons. Bobby Allison, "All of the sudden, Cale's banging his face on my fist". Three guys, three great friends. Oh how I love this sport.
