I don't do Facebook and It pisses me off when you have to log on and like someone, person, Company, TV station etc. to participate in a poll, get coupons, leave a comment, play a fantasy game, report something or participate in any way in an activity that you would expect to be on their website or a public internet site.

Tony has a lot of fans.I haven't voted for a while.. and Im confident enough to say this ebfore I look to see who's left....but I bet Tony's still looking good lol... He's going to win it... he's got the pity vote... I mean that not in a disrespectful way but the Daytona 500 is going to about the return of smoke... and I think he'll win the thing too. Coming from someone who is not a Tony fan whatsoever. He's got my vote.
Oh I know... I'm not saying he doesn't .. but so does Danica.Tony has a lot of fans.
I call it Farcebook. Spacebook is good, too.I don,t do spacebook either, seems we have something in common(old timers).
I wonder if Eutechnyx will put out something worth spending $60 on this time. Probably not. NASCAR hasn't had a good console game in years.

SnowBall Derby my man, say it loud, SNOWBALL DERBY, today is the Derby preview which is practice, tune up, inspection etc. and fast cash for the fastest lap of the day in each division, admittance is free, pit passes are $15 and you can wander as you please just stay out of peoples way. Derby week is Wed. 12/4 through Sun. 12/8 and at least I have some action today. Yeeehaw. You better get yourself to a race before you go off the edge.
It's not just you "old timers" (you said it, not me). I'm 28 and refuse to use Facebook or any other social media.I don,t do spacebook either, seems we have something in common(old timers).
I think it will actually still be made for PS3/XBOX 360.I got my fingers crossed that the next NASCAR game has idiot car setup mode on it & a no restrictor plate mode. Probably not though, since it'll be on the new system i'm sure it'll be a thrown together game that's focused on graphics & presentation...
Yeah.I think it will actually still be made for PS3/XBOX 360.
I am with you, I don't have a real facebook account. But I have a loophole -- I made a fake FB account I use for all these purposes. Plus I ended up getting a random friend request from a hot babe. So...how many fake usernames and accounts do you have on this forum?I am with you, I don't have a real facebook account. But I have a loophole -- I made a fake FB account I use for all these purposes...

And I'm probably the only one on this forum that will say this, but overall I have enjoyed both NASCAR games that Eutechnyx has put out. Are they perfect? No, of course not, but if not for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate and The Sims consuming my gaming life right now, I'd be playing Inside Line more often.
Twitter and Facebook can serve the exact same purposes. If you "like" only news worthy items on Facebook you will only see those news outlets in your feed. Same for twitter. If you dont follow any of your friends but choose to only follow news sources then only they will show up in your feed. Facebook & Twitter serve the exact same purposes, it's just up to the user on what he/she wants information on.Never ever ever will I use it, Twitter is the way to go. I can get almost all news on my favorite things such as Nascar straight to my phone when it happens. No long post to sift thru, no post at all, No stories of how Someone spent their morning . Blah blah blah. Just the news, Heck I don't have to say anything. I don't really understand why people want to tell everybody including the crminals out there when they are home or leaving for the day.(
Looks like we know who wears the fire suit in the familyThanks but no thanks
I hear way too much BS from facebook people. Friend, unfriend, and I work with the public so once you get an account everybody wants you to friend them......... If you don't welll you know how pissed they get. Sooooooo Twitter is for me. Plus shorter post like twitter seem to fit me.
Thanks for explaining though, my wife does it once weekly

In a word...yes.It's hilarious to see y'all who say "I don't like social media sites" but you're an active poster on this forum. Lolwut? You enjoy communicating with people you've never met before but you refuse to utilize the sites that connect you to all of your real life friends throughout your lifetime.
Old school yep, but if facebook is new school then I think new school is too invasive of a persons privacy and I'll stay old school, too each his own. It's like the commercials that were out a while back about the grown kids admonishing their parents about not having any fun on facebook with friends when all the while the parents were out havin a ball with real friends. Go figure. In a word...yes.
I interact with my "real life" friends enough in real life, and none of them are into NASCAR like I am so I came here to discuss it with other like-minded individuals. Now, if I just so happen to make an online buddy or two along the way, that'll be a nice bonus, but my primary purpose here is to discuss racing.
And yes, I realize that forums, chatrooms, etc. are all just precursors to what we know today as social media sites. Perhaps those of us who prefer a message board such as this one to a modern social media site could just be considered old school.

I really wish that Eutechnyx would put as much effort into what's in the box as they do to what's on the box.
The NASCAR Heat series from Infogrames and EA's early NASCAR Thunder games are still my favorites. EA got lazy once they got the exclusive license, Eutechnyx just doesn't do it for me. Not enough depth and awful physics.I liked the last two NASCAR games. And I liked all the older hardcore simulation **** too, NR2003 is still my favorite, but there was some simple and appealing about NASCAR 2013. And it looked good. iRacing is good for sports cars but its NASCAR offerings are terrible.
My favorite EA NASCAR games were NASCAR Thunder 2004 (with the time trials/practice where the real drivers would lead you around the tracks and show you the racing line) and NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup. From 06 on, when they implemented the team control stuff, it started going downhill. The NASCAR Heat series from Infogrames and EA's early NASCAR Thunder games are still my favorites. I'll probably have to wait to get my own place until I can try out something like iRacing.
Inside Line is just as bad if not worse online.. ur lucky to get into a race and dont dare pit under caution by urself or youll be running the race by your lonesome from then on.. cars shooting off the start line like a rocket and wrecking everyone.. cars spinning out and then shooting up into the stands and landing back right in front of you.. its terible.. its not as bad in private races but still pretty bad.. I wont buy the next one until i hear if its good thats for sure.. I liked Nascar '09.. when u started in trucks and had to work your way up through nns to cup.. never really played before '08.. not enough to remember the details anyway. I find the only way to have fun is to join a league and run for points with full damage on.. makes it a real challenge.. And I agree.. the AI is so bad in this game.. cars wreck everytime they pit, coming up the track into turn 1 or cutting you off coming out of 2.. they'll pit one lap after a restart or coming to the white flag.. its so predictable its almost impossible to not win.My favorite EA NASCAR games were NASCAR Thunder 2004 (with the time trials/practice where the real drivers would lead you around the tracks and show you the racing line) and NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup. My favorite NASCAR sim racing game was NASCAR Racing 2. I never got to play NASCAR Racing 2003 but from everything I've heard, it was amazing.
The only thing I don't like about Eutechnyx's NASCAR games is, as usual, the AI. My main gripe with it is that on the higher difficulty levels, the AI cars seem to make up time (and speed) in odd places on the track. They also tend to run right through you and give you very little room to race. I don't play online these days but things were pretty glitchy in the 2011 game. It was fun when everything worked properly, though. I'm not sure how Inside Line is online.
Online is still incredibly glitchy. I haven't played in months but the last time I did they had plenty of time to come up with a decent patch beforehand but ultimately nothing good came about. My favorite EA NASCAR games were NASCAR Thunder 2004 (with the time trials/practice where the real drivers would lead you around the tracks and show you the racing line) and NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup. Oh I know its brutal.^^^^^^
Grinds my gears. If I had a nickel for every time a car pitted one or two laps after a restart I really would be rich.
Man, I wish they would make a sequel to Dirt to Daytona. That was the best console NASCAR game.
