Another great improvement (sarcasm) is that they took away race buddy for the cup races. I know they didnt have them for every race before, but now they dont have it at all; only the NW races
I don't see how they can justify having race buddy working for free and yet what they charge money for wouldn't work at all.Another great improvement (sarcasm) is that they took away race buddy for the cup races. Don't they just have it for the Chase races? Or for just the ESPN races? I don't really remember.Another great improvement (sarcasm) is that they took away race buddy for the cup races. I know they didnt have them for every race before, but now they dont have it at all; only the NW races
Ah. I suppose that might make sense. The NW races are on ESPN after all. My bad, carry on.
Your information is outdated. NASCAR bought out the remaining contract with Turner and is now running the site and all NASCAR related digital media.I love blaming Brian France as much as the next guy, but NASCAR actually has nothing to do with NASCAR.com. NASCAR has leased it to Turner Broadcasting (CNN, TNT, TBS, etc.) and they control all of NASCAR's digital properties. It's kind of a weird arrangement. (Source for the nonbelievers)
Besides, we all know Jayski's is the real NASCAR homepage.

Jayski has no NASCAR affiliation. They never did. It went from an independently ran site to an ESPN purchase.
When did jayski add raceview? Is it cheaper?Ah, you're right. Turner still sells all the ad space on NASCAR.com.
Yeah, I'm aware. But Jayski has everything you'd ever want from a NASCAR website, including schedule, news, standings, rumors, etc. etc. etc. I probably go to Jayski's 100x more times than I go to NASCAR.com. That's what I meant.

Whatever floats your boat. TV is fine for me.I use race buddy to dodge the thousands of commercials trying to sell ya something. They don't like that...they want you to buy their over priced raceview. Probably start putting commercials on that thing if they can get away with it. I ain't playin. Way too many other forms of motor racing to watch without all the freakin commercials these days.
Besides, RaceBuddy is not void of commercials. It seems every time you change cameras you're exposed to yet another commercial. Also, RaceBuddy is only available for a select few Cup races. Nationwide yes, but that's the kind of event that DVR's thrive on.Whatever floats your boat. TV is fine for me.

ESPN as well..... Nationwide anyhow.Yeah, I thought RaceBuddy was only for the TNT/NBC races anyway.
I don't think I am a good potential customer for RaceView. When I bring my scanner to the races, I just end listening to the TV/radio feed of the races anyway.
The one time I did wish I had it was when everybody said that at last year's fall Richmond race, when Kyle Busch was trying to beat Jeff Gordon to make it into the chase, apparently, KyBu asked his spotter to ask his brother to intentionally wreck Gordon so he could make the chase.
The new site sucks worse than the old one. Very hard to find any information on there.
The new site is why I converted to Jayski for NASCAR info.
That 'antiquated design' is why I've always stuck with Jayski. I don't need or want bells and whistles, and the content has always been emphasized over the layout.Yep. Over the past few years, I found myself going to Jayski less and less because of it's antiquated design but now that I can't find a single thing on NASCAR.com (or have to click on 436 things), Jayski looks like the holy grail again.
That's one of the things I hate... how hard do they have to make it to find qualifying or practice results..last year you scrolled to the bottom and click see full results.I quit using the NASCAR site after the last makeover. I check the site early each season and this year it has a lot of pictures and too many clicks or scrolls to find content - if you can find the content you are looking for.
I have been around here long enough that you probably know by now that I'm a pretty easy going guy and I don't get upset very often or complain about much...but nascar .com is the one site that gets my blood pumping. That would piss me off too. This morning nascar.com took $44.99 (I was signed up with auto bill pay) out of my account without so much as an email as to the new dates, payment schedule or anything. I checked the terms and it stated that I would be notified of everything, again BS. I went to my account and it shows that I'm paid through 2/1/14, kind of a minor deal but it shows just how unorganized they still are.
Why did they even take money out of your account? This morning nascar.com took $44.99 (I was signed up with auto bill pay) out of my account without so much as an email as to the new dates, payment schedule or anything. I had it on auto bill pay but they had not emailed anybody about the rates or the fee dates, they just set it up for 2/1/14 and took it out without notice. Why did they even take money out of your account?
Yeah, but what are you paying for?I had it on auto bill pay but they had not emailed anybody about the rates or the fee dates, they just set it up for 2/1/14 and took it out without notice.
I'd miss the qualifying and practice stats. They can be had elsewhere, but on NASCAR.com I can sort them by driver name. That makes it easier for me to gather stats for fantasy racing analysis.I wouldn't miss NASCAR.com in the least.
I would really only miss one thing -- lap by laps of races. Other than that, I wouldn't care one bit if they dropped off te face of the earth.Considering all that is out there on the web, NASCAR might want to consider giving up on having a website at all.
Spend the time, money and energy on race day.
I wouldn't miss NASCAR.com in the least.
It doesn't matter what service but it's raceview.Yeah, but what are you paying for?.
