Should I go? Never been to Daytona and it's a 4.5 hour drive

you have go once at least once
best thing to do is walk by the wall on the front stretch
try to time it so you meet the cars right where they are closest on the turn 4 side of the tri-oval
the wall is 4-5 feet wide
the cars pass about a foot from the wall, 195mph +/-.....8 feet away from you
hang on to your hat!!!!!
forget about a taking a picture, your lens is not fast enough

If they want a road course race in Florida I'd rather they went to Sebring.
If they did that you would sure see just how tough the cars are for sure. That is one rough track, one of the main reasons it is a good track for the sports cars is, it is a shake down run for the 24 of LaMon. (how ever you spell it)

Yeah I've been there to see a couple races. And driven it on iRacing. Super bumpy and tough to keep it under you.

Had to turn the channel. I can't watch the Ryan Newman wreck/story for the umpteenth time. Couple that with the past few weeks of commercials advertising this race and all they show are wrecks. I hate wrecks. I like racing. Show me some exciting clips of racing and finishes.

Seen it way too many times. Also Ts & Ps to the boys tonight.

I feared Newman was dead that night. It's tasteless to use that wreck for an ad.
