NASCAR Fan Since..

Gee, fender, seems hard to believe you were ever child.;)

Right? My sheer genius runs counter to the concept of being a child. You, on the other hand....;)

Later on, my friends father started running the broken headlight figure 8's. Lots of clear epoxy under the headlight tape and sneaky extended frames were the key to winning.

I've been a fan for a while, but I did stop following for a couple of years between 06-08. I want to say since I've been like three of four years old.lol

I'm 19, it would have been since 97-98. I'm still a baby to NASCAR and I'm happy to follow it closely again.

Welcome to the forum Kiante , glad to have you aboard . Who is your favorite driver?

The first race I watched flag to flag was the 79 Daytona 500. I have been around racing my entire life as my dad had a sprint car and we raced in USAC all over the mid-west. I remember getting the highlights of races on ABC Wide World of Sports before they started doing live flag to flag coverage.

The first NASCAR race I attended was at Indianapolis Raceway Park in 1983 for the BUSH series. I still have the photo of me and my sister with Tim Richmond.

My first cup race was in Michigan in 84. I remember camping across from the track and someone had a signal canon they shot off both race mornings @ 5:00am.

I've been a Nascar fan since 2003 and it was Kurt all the way. He was spunky, that is why I chose him. I've never been to a race, I can't afford it. None of my friends are fans anyway so I wouldn't want to go by myself.

There's a bunch of exciting new drivers coming up, and they have more of the old 'win at all costs' attitude and less of the boring 'gentleman racer' nonsense.
