NASCAR fining drivers for destructive comments

"Brian and his cronies have KILLED the sport i once loved"

"don't know who said nascar didn't listen to Dale. but if you will look back the sport has gone to hell in a hand basket since he died"

Oh yea, this is it right here! Thats what I have been feeling and watching since that fateful day, and I TOTALLY agree.

Its all a show now, no real racing. I liked the old points system, the lap cars on the inside on restarts. No double file resarts were needed to keep me interested.

And if it is a show, let'em say what the want to say. Ruin the integrity of what if the do?? B.S.!!!!

It always has been a show but even more so now. With the "debris" cautions coming with 20-30 laps to go at seemingly every race, drivers given the ok to speak but can't say anything "detrimental to the sport" (is that like porn? can't define it but you know it when you see, I mean hear it???)

Na$car is heading to have about as much integrity as pro wrestling. That's rasslin' to my southern friends:D

The Irony of all this is that the Drivers should do what Kyle Bush does when he's mad: Don't talk to the media. Who would have thought that Kyle would be the example that all NASCAR drivers should follow when it comes to interviews?

Yes, there you go..... Drivers sticking it to the man. That would be a great thing for the sport right now.

At first I was totally against all of this stuff with the fines but it's not really any different than what is going on in most other sports. They way they went about it is wrong. Behind closed doors seems to be the real issue. It is in no way productive for any of these teams to be criticizing the sport in which they are participating. Having a driver come out saying that NASCAR is fixed is not a good thing IMO.

What a huge loss to the Twitter world

Hamlin on Twitter less after fine

#11-Denny Hamlin admits he's not commenting as often on Twitter after being fined an undisclosed amount by NASCAR recently for comments series officials felt were hurtful to the sport. Said Hamlin: "I'd say half of the time I was on (Twitter discussing NASCAR stuff and whatnot. They really don't want me going there, so I'm not going to go there. It's just one of those things. I'm still part of that stuff, but obviously with getting a fine and everything, you've got to be a little bit more careful."
