Not bad. Maybe too many car owners in one class, but I'm ok with it.

For the Younger Nascar Fans
From Wikipedia: On Raymond Parks

Most famous for being a moonshine runner who helped to start NASCAR, he is recognized as the first "team" owner in stock car racing. Prior to the founding of NASCAR, Parks was the car owner for moonshine runner and nephews Lloyd Seay and Roy Hall as far back as 1938. In 1948-49, with Red Byron as the driver Parks's cars won the first two NASCAR Championships ever awarded; the Modified class in 1948, and the above mentioned championship in 1949.[7] Parks was one of the last living members of the group who created NASCAR during a meeting at the Streamline Hotel in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1947. Raymond Parks died on June 20, 2010. He was 96 years old.

So happy to see Mark Martin and BP make it in

I do not think anyone active in the sport should go in regardless of their role. Their time will come.

I'm no where near as knowledgeable as others on hear about Nascar history. That said, what did Parks do to warrant his induction? I've read about his history as a team owner with his team winning the first championship, but is there anything more he did behind the scenes that contributed to the growth of Nascar?

He, along with Bill France, Sr. was one of the founders of NASCAR.
