DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 26, 2016) -- NASCAR® is collaborating with Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh on a feature film entitled Logan Lucky, starring Channing Tatum alongside Katherine Heigl, Daniel Craig, Riley Keough, Adam Driver and Seth MacFarlane. Depicting a theoretical heist atCharlotte Motor Speedway, the project will mark Soderbergh's first feature film since announcing his retirement from the film industry in 2013. Soderbergh, who also directed heist film Ocean's Eleven, is best known for his work on the critically acclaimed Traffic and Erin Brockovich, which garnered him two Oscar nominations and the accolade of Best Director.

A down on his luck porn star, Logan Lucky turns to NASCAR for a new career.

Its about heist committed during a race. Cold have some nice shots. They are using CMS

Pretty disappointed that the movie isn't going to center around NASCAR, but I guess there isn't much mass appeal there.

If you're going to use a facility to highlight in a movie though, Daytona's new face lift should have easily been atop the list.

Weird. I always figured Joey Logano was lucky but I never imagined Hollywood would make a movie about it. And it's about stealing something? Please. Wonderbread would get eaten alive by criminals.

They gonna steal the track from curtis turner?
