Goodyear Fast Facts — Iowa

The June 3-4 Goodyear tire test at Iowa Speedway provided valuable data from all three of NASCAR Cup Series’ OE manufacturers: Kyle Busch (Chevrolet), Austin Cindric (Ford) and Chase Briscoe (Toyota). As such, Goodyear will bring new left and right side tires for the 0.875-mile lap.

“Iowa presents a unique challenge with the speeds and sustained loads, as well as the two different ages of asphalt on the surface,” said Rick Heinrich, Goodyear NASCAR product manager. “The new race recommendation of Goodyear Racing Eagle tires for the Cup Series is ready for that challenge, as shown during the June test.”
A new right side tire for the NASCAR Xfinity Series will also be used this weekend. It was tested by Christian Eckes (Chevrolet) and Dean Thompson (Toyota) also at the June test. Xfinity Series teams will race the same left side tire as in the last two rounds at Dover and Indianapolis.

Watching practice and got reminded of how annoying Burton is.

Thank gawd for mute buttons.

Not Iowa, but both Chase Elliott and Kyle Busch are at tonight’s Braves vs Reds MLB game in Bristol! Chase loves his Braves
