NASCAR Levies Penalties

Must be me but I thought since Gordon pulled up beside Kez and stated on his radio that he was going to Whip his arse then he was the instigator. He should be on probation like Kez is, but I keep forgetting he's a Hendrick driver. Now he gets a free shot at Kez next race.

that's why I jokingly replied in another thread about short track rules: Drivers are responsible for the actions of their crew members.

today's ruling has no significant impact, because corporate sponsorship and television revenues tie nascar's hands.

and this isn't going to change. I won't be surprised by more fireworks after phoenix and homestead. tension is HIGH!
 
by the way... I like the free for all aspect!!! gives failed MMA fighters a new opportunity for employment!
 
Not that I really care but do the car owners pay the crew chiefs fines? Crew chiefs are always getting fined. Even is they have to pay its like taking 20 cents or something out of my pocket.

I would think the owner pays all if not part of it.

CCs dont make much, do they? It would be ****** for the owner to let you fend for yourself. It wasn't too long ago that a crew chief got penalized like 100k. That is one hefty fine.
 
Don't worry about Jeff Gordon getting into the chase, if he does not do it straight up, Jeff and Mr. Hendrick will whine and cry to Brian and blame it on the Texas massacre and all the other evil driver against him and Brian will give him a spot, because hay, he is By God Jeff Gordon.
 
Next time they let the drivers fight, the crew guys cant afford these prices
 
No worries, I'm sure Jeff will glad pay those fines. I'm sure he already did.

I'm sure a couple of those crew guys feel the $10,000 hit. If I read correctly one crew member got fined $25k! Ouch!

Someone with a fat wallet will cover it, I'm sure.
A driver wants to make sure his crew boys are gonna perform on raceday.

The point is that Jeff didn't have a gun pointed at the 5 crew's head.

It is insane to say, oh well, its Gordon's fault they got penalized. No.

They got penalized because they took part in the ruckus, not because Gordon got on the radio and told them to rally up.

If we go by your logic, then Gordon is not at fault for grabbing Brad by the collar because, after all it was Harvick who pushed Brad into Jeff so you see where I'm going here?

Yeah, I don't know Mr. H personally to be able to claim this for sure, but I highly doubt that he's gonna make them work off their tab washing dishes at the local diner or anything.

looks like three of the Gordonites crew have been run off for the rest of the year. Wonder if they were over the wall guys?

Gordon and Kez should pay the fines for the guys. The millionaires get into a slap fight, and the grunts get after it, and get fined. BS.
 
Another thought on this matter.....I can't imagine the damage done to children in all of this. We all remember how kids stopped eating M&M's after Kyle turned Hornaday. No question that they stopped buying Miller Lite and Budweiser; and you can be rest assured that the Fight to End Hunger has ended in their minds. A sad day indeed.

Gordon and Kahne, I believe it was the 24 and the 5 that got fined. The two car crew didn't get fined.
