The 2025 NASCAR season has ended, and February's 44 Bold Predictions have been reduced to the 7 accurate prognostications. We know who was correct; now we select the Boldest.

Any RF member can vote, whether or not you submitted a prediction. You may vote for only one prediction but if you wish to change your vote, you can do so before the deadline. When's the deadline? Saturday, Nov. 22nd.

The seven successful predictors (or anyone else) are encouraged to post here to persuade, convince, flatter, cajole, browbeat, bribe, or otherwise influence the vote.

The winner will receive a full copy of the Encyclopedia Britannica, a case of Turtle Wax, a lifetime supply of Rice-A-Roni ("The San Francisco Treat!"), and a copy of 'RF Bold Predictions Home Game" autographed by Brian France!

How often does this happen ?

A driver will win a Cup race without having led a single lap under the green flag.

Specifically, the driver, having not led a lap during the race, takes the lead on the last lap (after the white flag is thrown) and is the lead car when a caution is thrown, thereby ending the race.

Here's my thoughts on each one I haven't decided who I will vote for.

Josh Berry wins a cup race before Ty Gibbs (exhibition races included).

Pretty strong, I don't think anyone had Ty Gibbs now heading into his 4th season still winless. Plus the Wood Brothers winning at a mile and a half.

Spire Motorsports will win at least one Cup race this season.

Not a strong choice, I don't consider to All Star Open to be a full Cup race.

OK but with drafting tracks we've seen it before.

Ross Chastain (MELON MAN) will race in every cup race in the 2025 season.

No, this isn't bold.

At least two Cup races will be won by an international (non-American) driver.

Alright I guess, I don't think I'd vote for it.

Kyle Larson will win his second championship.

Meh, not surprising

5 green-white-checker races will be won by a driver who was not leading at the advertised distance

Pretty good, thats a large number.

Honestly it's amazing to predict and get right saying "5 green-white-checker races will be won by a driver who was not leading at the advertised distance"

Could've easily said 5 or more, 4 or more, etc. But to guess exactly 5, and get it on the very last race, that's impressive. Anything other than it winning seems wrong IMO.

Gotta let me borrow that time machine you clearly have.

There were a few good predictions this year. @pjmolo's prediction is a strong one. @Zerkfitting with his 5 green-white-checkered prediction is a good one as well.

My vote goes to @pjmolo. What he predicted doesn't happen very often. It happened so early in the season that it's easy to dismiss, but it is quite rare.

@Blaze, @acmerocket, @Zerkfitting, Game Management definitely does NOT want to influence the vote but feels compelled to clarify this misconception.

As state in the original game post, https://racing-forums.com/threads/nascar-2025-bold-prediction-game.76915/
Prediction Clarity - All predictions, to be posted to this thread, must be as specific as possible (especially numeric predictions) and easily verified. Game management reserves the right to reject any prediction it considers to be too difficult to verify. Predictions with specified numbers of wins, top tens, etc. will be interpreted as minimums; i.e., 'Matt Kenseth wins five times' would be considered accurate if he has more than five wins.

When I made the GWC prediction I thought 5 might be a low number because it seemed like there was a lot of those in recent years. I picked 5 to leave room for someone who might want to go bolder. I figured my last chance was the Martiansville race and I never expected the last race to have a GWC (I totally lucked out).

With only a week left until the balloting to determine the boldest of the BOLD Predictions comes to an end, all 44 participants that submitted a prediction are encouraged to step up to the ballot box and make what you feel, in your heart of hearts, is a truly righteous determination. :salute:

My prediction of Spire winning a Cup race was meant to be a points-paying race, though I didn't specify that.

With only several days left until the polls close, it appears that ol'whatshisname's attempt at getting out the vote was somewhat successful but it certainly didn't go in his favor as @Zerkfitting stands to take the BOLD Prediction plaque for the fourth time in the last ten years.

Half the forum said Josh berry was trash and didn’t deserve a cup ride

90% are calling zilich the next Richard petty even after Ty Gibbs put up similar stats in his xfinity days

I see the obvious choice but whatever

Efforts have been made to secure a venue for the purpose of awarding the 2025 NASCAR BOLD Prediction Championship Plaque but, due to the sordid outcome of previous r-f banquets, negotiations with numerous sites have proved futile.

Consequently, it has been determined that the best course of action is for all to gather at the residence of whoever it may be that tallies the most votes and is subsequently declared to be the champion of the game.

The opportunity for all members of the board to vote for the Most BOLD Prediction, or to change your vote, comes to an end Saturday night.

Does my Cracker Jacks toy count?

If not I may have to fish up one of my old wiping up the rear awards. That counts for a hard card, right?

Congratulations to FOUR-TIME Bold Prediction Champion

Zerkfitting
Really? Four times? Very impressive... if true.

There are hoards of race fans that say Jimmie Johnson had a golden horseshoe, stashed not on his feet. In fact, some are saying Zerkfitting must have found that appendage, and made it part of his own wardrobe.

Just for the historical record, perhaps The Commissioner @Charlie Spencer would review the winning predictions from 2016, '21, and '23.

Sorry, the statute of limitations has already expired on those seasons. The limit for this season expired five minutes before whenever you posted.

However, the game's archivist was awakened from a Sunday slumber and was able to produce the following . . .

Oh, that was in the first post to start the game back in February. Maybe @LewTheShoe would like Congress to pass a law requiring all records to be released? (Although my toilets flush better than the ones in the White House.)

Although the 2025 BOLD Prediction Awards Banquet was destined for oblivion, @Zerkfitting, currently in a witness protection program, was located this morning and presented with an over-sized version of the Championship Plaque along with a bouquet of red roses and a bottle of champagne.
