NASCAR needs some rivalries to spice up the action

Problem is not the lack of rivalry its the lack of resistor plate racing.

There's 4 too many plate races per year.

Lack of rivalries is killing this sport. Not only is there a lack of a driver vs driver rivalry, but the classic ford vs chevy rivalry died when Toyota got into the sport, and gm filed for bankruptcy and took the bailout. A rivalry does two things, creates a conflict that people can rally around, and forces the rivals to improve themselves.

Eh I liked the Kenseth vs Keselowski one at Charlotte, Gordon vs Keselowski was weak.

We need a Kyle Busch vs Keselowski or Kyle vs Harvick again

^ Skoal, you should check out F1. The required decorum there is more in line with what you seem to believe is proper. Most of us prefer it a bit more raw.

If Nascar drivers start behaving like cement heads on a regular basis I would likely find something else or do my best to ignore it. Football and Hockey players beat and bash on each other all game long and are cool about it. Nascar drivers chit the bed over nothing.

I feel the only rivalry that will make people interested and it might be a few years away until both start winning races and Cups is Elliott vs Blaney. A good old fashioned Chevy vs Ford rivalry
