NASCAR on TNT

I am unemployed so I no longer have television service by cable or satellite - - just a small antenna sitting on top of the TV. I watched the NASCAR races through last weekend on the local TV broadcast. The second half of the season is on TNT which has no local stations. Is there a free way to watch it online?

RaceBuddy for TNT races. It's not the same as the TV broadcast though I've found that you almost have to use it for TNT's broadcasts.

As for ESPN's races, right now you have to have Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Verizon FIOS or AT&T cable to watch online but the WatchESPN iPhone app is a great thing :D

I tried justin.tv but found no NASCAR race today. I also tried racebuddy on nascar.com but it is very choppy and no audio. I have a 8-MB Internet service and do not have video stutter on other sites.

Wish I could help you Doug , but I am pre computor and these guys sound like they know what's what . Welcome to the forum anyway and here's hopin you get back to work real soon.

Thanks Ted. I can handle the computer part as I was an engineer and project manager in IT at BellSouth for 28 years. I have the race on AM radio so that will have to do for now. Racebuddy is just not ready for prime time.

In my searching, I found this site that claims you can watch all the races live for a one time fee of $30.
Anyone ever heard of this site nascarlivestream.com ? I searched and did not find anything positive or negative about it so I don't trust it yet.

I wouldn't do it. Those places charge you for access to online streams of races that don't exist.

Geech , I hate to be the one to tell you this Doug , I really like you and all, but don't you think you may be a little overqualified for this forum?

If you don't have twitter sign up for it. Next Sunday search twitter for "NASCAR live stream". That is how I find my streams when I am at work since Justin.tv stop showing them.

There is a Euro site that might stream races. I watch all the big PPV boxing events on it for free. I'll post a link tomorrow.

ted@eeconomy, I thought the only qualification was to be a race fan which I am.
Jeffrey00, I will check Twiter next weekend. Thanks for the advice.

I did see the last 30+ laps on RaceBuddy. It was a bit awkward because RaceBuddy was about 8 seconds behind the MRN broadcast. In the last few laps when Joey and Mark were racing for the lead, RaceBuddy stayed on the 5th-8th place cars where the #88 was running. overall, it did seem like a good race except for the pit lane speeding penalties.

Sorry Doug , I didn't mean to insult you . I really meant to insult the other guys on the forum.:D

What did everyone think of TNT?

I thought TNT was in the middle. They certainly were no ESPN but they're operating on a smaller budget and they're certainly nowhere near what NBC has managed to do with their IndyCar coverage. But they were miles ahead of FOX. After months of FOX, halftime shows and the Waltrips, mediocrity is good enough.

Was this race better because it was actually better or the TV network actually showed the racing? I thought TNT was miles ahead of Fox.

For the majority of the season from here on out, the races will not be carried by an over-the-air broadcaster - with the exception of a few races on ABC. That sucks for folks who don't have cable. Fortunately, there are online options to at least keep up with what's happening.

As for TNT, I enjoyed Race One of their six-week contract! FAR Superior to the drivel we got from FOX!

TNT was awfull on many of the incidents that happened on track, they were late on their camera work. I didn't think they were any better than Fox outside of the fact I didn't have to listen to the Waltrips.
