NASCAR Penalizes Corey LaJoie For Violating Sport’s Code Of Conduct Policy

Yes I got the point, I guess my reply didnt seem like it though. After 911 lots of people that wore turbans were persecuted but they arent even Muslim. One of them was shot right here in Arizona and the guy that did it didnt have a clue.

Don't forget about the racist whacko who shot and killed six people at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin. Sikhs and Muslims are obviously the same because turbans and turbans = terrorists. :sarcasm:

For those who are complaining about PC running amok, that you can't speak your mind etc. NASCAR is a private business and they can do whatever they damn well please. If they don't want their drivers spewing racist ****, then they have every right to penalize the driver. If the driver doesn't like it, they can always quit racing for NASCAR and find another series.

It's as simple as that.

Exactly. Everyone knows that nascar is very sensitive about their image. For a driver to make statements like that to the world wide web is just asking for trouble.

How hard is it to just keep your twitter mouth shut about things like that?

It's not racist. Anybody who says it is racist, is obviously a moron. Muslims aren't a race. Neither are Sikhs.

The person who shot up the Sikh temple was a documented racist so my statement stands.
Your statement had nothing to with this issue. You seem to have an exceptionally poor understanding of this issue and appear to be easily confused.
The tweet was not racist. It had nothing to do with racism. Anybody talking about racism is being stupid.

So was this tweet merely a fashion statement or possibly more ? Should the guy with the baseball cap also be searched or is he on the OK list?

You're debating the semantics of racism. The statement was very clearly a racist one.

Race is defined as: a group of persons related by common descent or heredity. and any people united by common history, language, cultural traits, etc.

Clearly the statement was prejudice and derogatory towards Muslims and Sikhs alike. Therefore it was racist and insensitive.

Discrimination=Racism

Those two pretty much go hand and hand.

If you read that tweet and dont think he's at the least discrimininating the guy because he happens to be wearing a turban then you might want to think before calling people stupid.

BTW that was uncalled for. Thread was going along fine until you decided to act like a 12 year old.

Ohhh turBAN not turBINE

Here we go again with nascar being the PC police.

They have huge sponsor interests to protect. There is no way they can allow drivers to spout off racist or bigoted comments. Any big time league or company would do the same. Drivers just needs to be smarter when it comes to things like this.
