Deadline for this week's pick is Friday, Sept. 29th, noon Eastern time.

Having gone four consecutive races without making a pick, @UpNorth has been removed from the game.

And obviously, with the lead that he has, @Michfan will remain at the top of the standings for at least another week.

The question is, can those in pursuit gain enough ground each week to make it a real race to the finish line.

Just a heads up @pjmolo I see the chart of used drivers has Blaney available to me. I used him while you were out.

It's gonna be a rough weekend with Lajoie. A top 25 and I'll be happy.

Going over the picks I see that you used him at Chicagoland.

Dunno how I missed it, but thanks.

A quick review of an updated "used drivers" chart reveals that, with 7 races left after Dover, @Fordracing7 has 5 "A list" drivers remaining to be used along with 4 "B list" drivers.

Looks like he mighta got a little carried away using those "C list" drivers earlier in the year. :idunno:

Haha the whole almirola deal screwed up my plan and I used billy johnson when I wasn't planning and smith when I wasn't planning either and somewhere messed up and didn't use Dillon

You need two engineers up on the box with you to make sure this stuff doesn't happen.

I don't recommend the two I fired after Landon Cassill finished 39th a coupla' weeks ago.

I'm using my last "B" driver at Dover. I have 5 "A" drivers left. If the stars line up so that I can get some good finishes with my "A's" I should finish some where around 5th.

one word...'DEGA

I started working backwards a couple weeks ago seeing I had 2 As and a few b's so I've trotted out some c's then have the rest of the year planned

My whole season turned on picking Keselowski at Kentucky and Kyle Busch at Indy. Scored 39th and 34th, so I fired my engineer and my competition director. If those two picks had yielded top-5's, I'd be sitting in P2 right now. File this post under "Sh!t Happens in Racing."

The Kyle Busch Indy pick killed me too.

Eighteen . . .

Although @Snappy D, @Greg, and @2 Sweet (in second, third and fourth place, respectively) continue to gain ground on him, that's the number of consecutive races that @Michfan has kept the lead in the standings.

And @Snappy D, now 53 points behind, is closer to the leader than anyone in second place has been since @2 Sweet was 44 points behind after the second Pocono race (Race #21).

***jinx alert***

Most impressive recently has been @Greg, who in the last six races has only moved up from fourth to third place in the standings but in the process has gain 45 points on the leader, reducing the lead that @Michfan has on him from 105 to 60 points.

***end of jinx alert***

Congrats to @2 Sweet, @AdoubleU24, and @Fordracing7, who all had the best finishing pick this week in third place Jimmie Johnson.

Congrats also to @Hotrod who moved up three spots into the top ten with his pick of fourth place finishing Martin Truex Jr.

A big hit was taken by @wilson89 who, by failing to make a pick this week, dropped four spots to eleventh place.

So with seven races to go, it's beginning to look like we've got ourselves a bona fide horse race fellers . . .
