Myself, Snappy, and Greg all have Larson left to use.....I was going to use him at Homestead, but I'm assuming you guys were planning the same. Maybe I need a new strategy.....

Haha this is gonna be good

In addition to that, with three races left @2 Sweet and @Snappy D still have Kyle Busch left to use while @Greg and @Snappy D still have Kevin Harvick.

Then again, don't count @jpell15, who still has Harvick, Keselowski and Logano.

What's a feller to do ?

Yeah the top 5 is still anyone's to win. I just don't want to see all of us use Larson at the last race. That would be so anticlimatic

How about you all use Larson at TX and I'll use him at Homestead.

Well, whatta ya know.

With the hard charging tandem of @Snappy D, @Greg, and @2 Sweet all selecting Larson for the Texas race, it'll be interesting to see what driver @DUN24 uses at Homestead . . .

More interesting, is that by each of them picking Larson, it sets up the possibility of @jpell15 roaring past them with a well timed sling-shot if Larson fails to perform as expected at Texas. :dirtbike:

LOL, awesome. I probably should've kept my mouth shut
with all due respect I had planned to use Larson for Texas once I saw he was out of the Homestead Championship Bowl, now......... things get interesting the last two races ha ha

I thought Dallas, Irving Texas would be the last of the three races remaining were Snappy would use Larson.

Seems like they stay out of the way of the final 4 drivers at Homestead. Best to use Larson now imo.

Larson would have won last year if not for the late caution

I'll see your 2nd place at Homestead with a Larson win at this Tx race last year. In the end, its all a crap shoot.

I'll be as happy as a squirrel in a sack of peanuts if I stay in the top ten. If my last three A listers (logano is the wild card) decide to race I could get close to a top five.

After running 25th for most of the season I was just happy to get to 15th and some point now I'm hoping I can get back in the top 10 I think we're all on the same page but we all seem to really enjoy this game

Even though this game is not really my cup of tea, I am really
excited to see how the standings hold up at the end of the race. Good luck
to y'all.

Feels a little like the peloton closing in on the breakaway at the end of a bike racing stage.

I'm up for running the Pick 'Em game again next year provided there's enough interest in the thing.

R U KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!! I'M IN, the work you have put into this game is out of this world....

I can't begin to tell youse guys how much I appreciate the positive feedback, especially from players who have little or no chance of winning the overall season championship.

It definitely makes my effort well worth my time.

Based on the feedback I've received, I see no problem in running the game next year with the same rules in place.

Looking at the game's participation over the past three years (2015 - 2017), it appears that the game started with approximately 25 players each year. In 2015 and 2016, the game ended with twelve still making picks.

However, this year the attrition rate has been considerably less as there are 18 players still active. So, if nothing less, it appears that we have a solid core of players in the mix with room for more.
Thanks again, fellers.

Meanwhile, back to the Chase for the championship of this year's game . . .

With all the chatter about who picked Larson at Texas and why, let's not forget that the game's leader, @Michfan, picked one of the fastest cars in both qualifying and practice, as well as the guy who dominated and won last night's Xfinity race: Erik Jones.

Today's race, and picks for the last two races, should certainly be interesting.

He's got two decent C list cars left with Cassill and especially McDowell.

Larson after wrecking at Texas: "We're done."

Well, I guess I called that one, at least almost anyway, as Kyle Larson wrecked at Texas and finished 37th, thereby enabling @jpell15 to move past @2 Sweet and @Greg into third place in the standings, one point behind @Snappy D. Brad Keselowski, picked by @jpell15, survived first lap misfortune and finished the race in fifth place to keep alive the championship hopes of both Keselowski and @jpell15.

@Michfan held on to the top of the game's standings for the 23rd consecutive week as his pick of Erik Jones ran strong most of the day and finished tenth. @Michfan now maintains a 37 point lead over @Snappy D with two races remaining, 27 points better than last week.

A big congrats to @DanicaFreak who, by picking ninth place finisher Kurt Busch, escaped the standing's cellar for the first time since the second race at Michigan back in early August. Along with total consciousness, he's got that going for him. :D

Congrats also to @aunty dive, @kkfan91, and @Johali, who each picked top ten race finishers and moved up in the standings. @aunty dive's goal of finishing in the top ten is definitely still within the realm of possibility as is @Johali's drive to finish close to, if not in, the top five.
