The deadline for submittal of picks for the next race is Friday, April 27th, noon Eastern time.

A not-so-subtle hint, in the form of a BUMP, that you might want to consider an alternate route the next time . . . .

This weekend the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series visits Talladega Superspeedway for the running of the GEICO 500.

The driver picked most often this week is David Ragan, driving for Front Row Motorsports in the #38 car. Six players selected Ragan while Trevor Bayne in the #6 car and Brendan Gaughan in the #62 car were each selected by four players.
Good luck to all and thanks for participating.

Dirtfan and I are hoping Bowman and the 88 still have some of that plate track magic left over from Dale Jr. Talladega is a race I love but truly a crapshoot relative to who wins. It’s wide open opportunity for any driver to score a victory.

Surprise surprise, Bayne is out. And it wasn't his fault.

Eh, I'll take a 15th from Ty Dillon. Nice pick with David Ragan. He's a plate driver, so I'll be using him at either Daytona 2 or Talladega 2.

Congrats to @jws926 and @DanicaFreak who won this week's "Highest Finishing Pick" award when their pick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., finished in 5th place in the GEICO 500 at Talledega Superspeedway.

In addition to having the best finishing pick, @DanicaFreak also had the most upward movement in the standings, moving up five spots. Also moving up five spots was @AdoubleU24, whose pick of David Ragan finished sixth.

Hanging around the top of the standings all season, @Blake Hylton regained the standings lead after a two race absence when his pick of Matt DiBenedetto finished 19th. In somewhat of an anomaly, @Blake Hylton moved into first place in a week that he used a "C list" driver for the first time all season.

Michael McDowell's 32nd place finish dropped last week's leader, @SlicedBread22, into a tie for second place.
