The deadline for submittal of picks for the next race is Friday, October 12th, noon Eastern time.
The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series heads to the land of the Crimson Tide this Sunday afternoon for the 1000Bulbs.com 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.
This week's most popular driver is Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who was selected by four players. The second most popular drivers are Brendan Gaughan, Jamie McMurray, and Regan Smith, who were each selected by three players.
As was the case last week, two players won't have any skin in this week's race as @Mopardh9 failed to submit a pick and @SlicedBread22 picked a driver, Kurt Busch, that he had previously used.
Players that did submit picks went overwhelmingly with "B list " and "C list" drivers. In fact, seven out of the top ten players in the current standings selected a "C list" driver.
Good luck to all and thanks for participating.
Ha Ha told ya so nanner nanner.
Surprised I'm the only one with Brad
I am also. There was 5 of you left that has him.
strategery . . . .
@kkfan91 has enough "A list" drivers to use in every race through Homestead while most others avoid using them at plate races for some reason . . . .
That's what I have left also.
He should save them for next year.
I'm surprised I'm the only one with Chastain. Okay, so maybe I'm not.
I was going to take Chastain till I saw Gaughan was entered in the race. The guy is a good plate racer and has had some solid finishes in the last couple of years.
My hope is that he is slow enough to be towards the back all race, so far back that he misses all the wrecks and comes home with a top 20.
Where was "The big one" that was suppose to help my guy get a top 20? The lead is getting further and further away.
Going to be a race to the end the top 5 of us all have solid drivers and chances to win this thing!
Congrats to @AdoubleU24, @Clutch, @Johali, and @Snappy D who take the "Highest Finishing Pick" award this week as their pick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., finished third in the 1000Bulbs.com 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Additional congrats to @Johali and @superchuck500 as they had the most upward movement in the standings this week, each moving up three spots. @Johali has moved up six spots over the last two races and being able to use an "A list" driver in each remaining race, looks poised to possibly crack the top ten by season's end.
@Spotter22 maintained the first place position in the game's standings when his bargain basement "C list" pick of Brendan Gaughan finished twelfth. However, @Fordracing7 is now a mere three points out of the leader position.
With five races left in the season, 31 points now separate the top five players. This week's standings also include a rundown on how many A, B, and C list drivers that each player has left to use.
Pretty impressive for the leader to take Gaughan and keep the lead coming home 12th!
Only at Talladega!
