The deadline for submittal of picks for the next race is Friday, April 26th, noon Eastern time.

2019 current standings - #9.jpg

The 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series makes its first trip to Talladega Superspeedway for the running of the GEICO 500 this Sunday.

This week's most popular driver picks are Ty Dillon, Brendan Gaughan, and David Ragan, who were each selected by six players.

Parker Kligerman was selected by four players.
Good luck to all and thanks for participating.

Got a little worried when I saw Reddick driving the #62 car in practice but apparently he'll qualify the car for Gaughan, who will start in it on Sunday.

Congrats to all of the players (too many to mention) who took this week's "Highest Finishing Pick" award when their pick, Brendan Gaughan, finished 10th in the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Additional congrats to @Greg (one of those who picked Gaughan) for having the most upward movement in the standings, as his "Highest Finishing Pick" enabled him to move up six spots.

Finally, congrats to @Clutch who has now held onto the top of the leader board for two consecutive races after successfully holding off @Team Penske's bid to reclaim that spot.

I thought Gaughn finished 8th, Kyle Busch finished 10th.

Damn, I hate when that happens.

In my haste to post the revised standings after the Talladega race, I referred to the unofficial race results that had been posted on the MRN.com website shortly after the end of the race. Obviously, due to the wild nature of the finish of the race, those results turned out to be incorrect.

If nothing else, this week's points for @DanicaFreak were right the first time.

The revision sucks. I'm still last.:mad::p

Man Gaughan had a good result. He started at the back too with the driver change.....Stenhouse had me happy for most of the race....

Dang it, I was looking forward to my wet wipe award. Cassill belongs in a wet wipe. What a dorky pick.

Fear not.

With the changes in the game rules that I'm considering, if you have the highest finishing pick in one of the first 26 races you'll qualify for the "playoffs."

Of course, a change like that just might lead to something like this . . . . .
