It's been an up & down season for me. Last year, my worst pick was 30th by Quin Houff. This year, I've finished 35th or worse 3 times. I think I still have a shot to win this, but my picks will have to be near perfect from now on.

That said, I've gotten some great value out of guys like Matt Kenseth (2nd), Tyler Reddick (4th), Jimmie Johnson (3rd) & David Ragan (4th).

I'm finding that the way NASCAR determines the starting line-up (a weighted lottery) is making it hard to pick a "C group" driver with any confidence.

With the way it's one, these guys are pretty much doomed to start at the back each and every race. :(

sometime i look at the c drivers and say who? or are they still driving.i remember some years ago when hooters helped out one of the cars in the back, the only time you saw it would be because of a crash.this was way after alan k.

This is my first year. Other than the first handful of races, I don't know what it's like to play with 'normal' qualifying. I don't know if that's gives me an advantage or disadvantage, or if it makes any difference at all.

Until NASCAR eliminated practice and qualifying this year, the deadline for submittal of driver picks had always been Friday at noon.

The idea, which @Johali was a big promoter of, was that picks had to be made without having what some considered to be an overload of information, i.e. practice and qualifying results.

Personally, I've become fond of the idea of allowing picks to made up until race day, like the Driver Group Game.

Yahoo's Thursday preliminary deadline is just one of the reasons my co-workers decided to switch to something else it almost 20 years ago. We wanted the option to use P&Q information through the entire decision process if we chose. It's not as if anyone can be required to look at the numbers if they don't want to. I play games is to get a little brain stimulation, and juggling the stats adds some of that. (Yeah, yeah, I only have a little brain to stimulate; let's move along, shall we?)

Another reason we left Yahoo for other options. We want to be able to change our minds as late as possible, That's especially true after NASCAR decided some inspections would be done on Sunday mornings.

The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series is at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the running of the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301.

The most popular pick for this race, selected by seven players, is Ryan Newman.

Cole Custer and Matt DiBenedetto were each selected by three players.
Good luck to all and thanks for participating.

not a bad day ,8th love to see matt d running up front all day, maybe back up in the top 5 ??

Congrats to @Charlie Spencer & @Greg who took the "Highest Finishing Pick" award when their pick, Denny Hamlin, finished second in the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Additional congrats to @2 Sweet as he had the most upward movement in the standings by moving up four spots.

Congrats also to @aunty dive who, despite a near last place finish by his pick Matt Kenseth, managed to maintain at least a tie for the first place position in the standings. That makes five consecutive races that he's been at the top of the heap.

After leading the standings early in the season before dropping all the way to fourth place, @Clutch, the reigning NASCAR Pick 'Em Champion, has steadily climbed back to a position where he and @aunty dive now clumsily try to share the same small piece of real estate atop the podium.

Jinx Alert: In a truly extraordinary effort, @dirtfan has moved to fifth place in the standings using only "B group" and "C group" drivers through the first 20 races. In fact, in six of the last seven races his second and third tier picks have finished in the top ten.

Finally, @Efisher131 has been dropped from the game for having failed to make a pick for four consecutive races after apparently having lost interest.
