Well it looks like I got lucky due to others having a bad night also so even with Kurts 31st place finish I still remain in the top 5 but I'm losing ground to Head423, BUT ! My diabolical plan is still in play!

The NASCAR Cup Series returned to its home roots for the Memorial Day running of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The most popular driver pick for the race, selected by four players, was 32nd place finisher William Byron.

Congrats to @Head423, @Michfan, and @REBS31 for taking the "Highest Finishing Pick" award thanks to the second place finish of their pick, Kyle Busch.

The finish by Busch enabled @Michfan to also collect the "Most Upward Movement" award as he jumped five positions to sixth place in the standings.

Finally, congrats to @Head423 for his hold on the top spot in the standings for the sixth consecutive race. Additionally, his lead over the holder of the second spot has increased after each of the last three races.

@aunty dive has a custom of posting dog pictures in the weekly Nascar Pick 'Em thread. Usually dogs and children. His pics always garner a ton of "likes" because people enjoy them and appreciate them. This week, Aunty posted this...

@nascarwoman, how exactly does Aunty's acknowledgement of a tragedy in real time qualify as "too political?" How TF does it violate board rules to acknowledge that each of those 21 victims shot dead also has a mother and father, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, and yes, dogs and other beloved friends that are also victims? While we play Nascar Pick 'Em, there are literally hundreds or thousands of Americans dealing with this... the extended family of the 21.

Aunty's post is not at all political IMO. Rather, it is a poignant statement of solidarity and shared grief with the Uvalde victims. Has R-F descended to the point where we cater to whatever faction thinks things like shooting up school kids is okay? Aunty deserves an apology.
