Hypothetically, If someone picks allgaier. Then Larson comes and finishes the race due to a rain delay or whatever. Does the allgaier pick get Larson’s finish?
 
"Long story short" explanation of the game rules regarding the situation involving Justin Allgaier filling in for Kyle Larson at the start of the Coca-Cola 600.

Published game rules state:

9 - If a driver picked by a player does appear on the entry list for that race (as posted on NASCAR.com), and that driver is then replaced by another driver prior to the start of the race, the "default driver pick" for that player will be the replacement driver, unless the player elects to select a different driver.

Because there is no existing rule for the replacement, during the race, of a replacement driver, between today's naps the game management rules committee has decided upon the following:

If a player picked Larson prior to the announcement of a replacement driver, or if a player picked Allgaier following the announcement of a replacement driver, the player will be awarded points equal to the finishing position of the #5 car, regardless of which driver finishes the race in that car.

The deadline for submittal or change of driver picks for today's race has been extended to 6:00 p.m. Eastern time.
 
I think I had brief moment of stupor, during which I sent in a selection of LaJoie. As things stand, he might recover for a good finish if there is a MASSIVE big one…but only then.
 
I had Keselowski penciled in until I saw his qualifying effort. I decided to change it to Berry. It might work out, but a P2 would've been awesome.

Congratulations to @antman12 and @Clutch, the recipients of the "Highest Finishing Pick" award following the first place finish of their pick, Christopher Bell, in the rain shortened Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The "Most Upward Movement" award went to @Truex_rox as his pick of third place finisher William Byron enabled him to gain six positions in the standings and move to within spittin' distance of a spot in the Top Ten.

The "Slipping & Sliding" award was shared by @REBS31 and @aunty dive when their picks caused each of them to drop five spots in the standings.

The "Top Five" club lost @Conover thanks to the 35th place finish of his pick, Corey LaJoie, but saw the return @antman12 and the first time presence @ToyYoda when their picks moved them into a tie for fifth place in the standings.

Finally, although @ol'whatshisname retained the top spot in the standings, the 31st place finish of his pick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr, caused his lead dwindle to a mere five points over second place @Biggreen695, who used his pick of third place finisher William Byron to slip past @DC76 into second place.

I'm very happy with a P10 from Josh Berry, that team is slowly but surely figuring it out.

Gained lots of ground on the leader.
 
My crew chief just told me that a tire can't be goin' down 'cause they're all "run-flat" tires that are matched perfect and staggered special. :)

If 36 points is in play for most races (depending on the number of entries it could be as high as 40) I would think that a 35 point loss or gain on the leader is possibile per race.

So being down or behind:
-35 points = 1 lap
-70 points = 2 laps
-105 points = 3 laps
-140 points = 4 laps
-175 points = 5 laps
-210 points = 6 laps
-245 points = 7 laps
-280 points = 8 laps
 
I've reached the hump where there are more good teams left for me than bad.
 
Still a lotta racing left and just about anyone still has a shot at a top ten finish.

Our commishner is the GOAT and sets the rules and I am staying out of that lane.

On secound thought in spite of performing awfully myself I wouldn't change a thing about the game.
