Fun fact @2: The ten picks made by @LibertyU24 have finished, on average, in 16th place and seven of those ten picks have come from the "C Group" with none of his "A Group" drivers having been used yet.
Fun fact: The average finish of my A-list picks is in the 20's.

A short excerpt from a short story about the short life of a beautiful dog.

“The little girl jumped off the school bus, looked around and said:

HEY! Where’s Cricket?”

Reminds me of the moving pooch post @aunty dive made last year after Uvalde that, incredibly, was deleted by board management.
kudos

And here l thought l was the only dumbass to pick Gragson. Good luck people.
Still hopeful he finds some type of adjustment to move up…but not holding my breath. Both he and his teammate Briscoe both fading. SHR is just trash.

I have zero idea why I picked Jimmie today, I wish I had a reset button for earlier this morning. I got seduced by practice speeds and thought I could steal some value

JHN scored me a 20th place. Honestly, I’m satisfied with that. It’ll cost me maybe 1 spot, but that’s his 3rd best finish of the season, so I’ll take it.

Alex Bowman has always been kind to me in this game. I even got a win with him a few years ago.

Gragson and Hemric easily the best picks this weekend.

I made up a ton of ground on the leader, hoorah!

Glad I picked Gragson too and hoping to crack the top 28 in the overall points standings after they are totaled. Still shooting to make it to the top 20 in points by labor day.

I’m just a tad disappointed with the 48 today tbh. Had a top 4 car all day then came back to pit road on that late caution that caught all those cars a lap down - but then just didn’t have the pace. Look 30 laps to pass Hemric who hadn’t been in the top 20. Of course never heard a thing about it on tv, did they have some kind of late issue?

He didn't lose too many spots when he pitted. He was just caught in traffic & couldn't make up ground.

"Go Big or Go Home"

That seemed to sum up the feeling of the players of the 2024 NASCAR Pick 'Em game following the Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway.

Although no one picked the race winner, 20 of the 33 players picked a Top Ten finishing driver, driven in part by the 11 players that picked the sixth place finisher, Noah Gragson.

Among those 20 Top Ten finishing picks were two picks of a Top Five finisher, with one of those being that of @Blaze, the recipient of the "Highest Finishing Pick" award following the third place finish of his pick, Martin Truex Jr.

The "Most Upward Movement" award was shared by @Blaze and @Michfan as their picks resulted in each of them gaining four positions in the standings.

The "Slipping & Sliding" award was reluctantly taken by @Truex_rox after he dropped seven positions in the standings due to the relatively decent 25th place finish of his pick, Corey Heim, making his first career Cup start while filling in for the injured Eric Jones in the #43 car.

The "Top Five" club saw @Conover regain membership with his Gragson pick, taking the place of @antman12 whose stay in the club lasted all of one race.

Currently, the hottest player in the game is most certainly @DC76, who used his eighth Top Ten pick in the last nine races to vault past the slumping @'olwhatshisname into first place in the standings.

Other players currently on a hot streak include @Blaze (three consecutive Top Fives), @superchuck500 (five consecutive Top Tens), and @Old 97 (four consecutive Top Tens).

A hearty shout-out to @donthaveanickname following the ninth place finish of his pick, Daniel Hemric, that being the first Top Ten pick of the season for the continued occupant of the standing's cellar.

Finally, the illustrious "Wiping Up The Rear" award was dusted off and awarded for the first time since @superchuck500 picked Justin Haley in the COTA race. The last place finish of Ryan Preece at Dover, optimistically picked by @kkfan91, mandated that he find a spot in his trophy case for the shimmering Golden Toilet.

If I didn't miss that one race a few weeks back, I would probably be sitting pretty right now, that hurt me and I've recovered a little bit, but damn.

With an "average points per race" at a little over 15 at the eleven race mark I'd say you're sittin' pretty.

I can’t believe I’m in the lead. When I checked in on the picks I didn’t think any of us had a chance to cut into pjmolo lead. It’s a long season and I know my hot streak won’t last forever so I’m just gonna enjoy it while I got it
